Was talking to my buddy about how good it was to see him playing well. He mentioned it was against EKU which is true but I've seen Nick put up 2 pts 2 boards against similar teams too so it's still a promising outting. Nick seems heavily swayed by his in game performance and can get down on himself so for him to start so well in these first two games I think bodes well going forward.

It'll certainly take the sting off if EJ doesn't live up to what we're expecting from him.

I rewatched the MSU game and EJ had some nice plays. We need one or the other to be consistently good. Nick seems to be that dude so far, if we get both to play like that watch the F out!

Great confidence building game I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Richards in two games. There's a lot of promise moving ahead.

Nick is going to thrive this year if he stays healthy - and he’s going to thrive because he finally has to - there are no other options.

Richards can hit free throws so he has a good touch: His hook looks nice. He has the potential to get us 10-12 pts a night maybe more.

He looked like what we hoped he would be. Great effort. He played loose and with confidence.

It was EKU but it has to boost his confidence and hopefully he can take that next step

And I don’t care if it was EKU. He’s been here three years, he’s played lot of EKU’s before. He only has one other 20 and 10 game and that was his freshman year

All he has to do now is believe he can play at this stage. Yes, he's not going to pull off like 4 skyhooks a game against Tennessee.. but no one will. As long as he remembers he has the talent to be here. I feel like that's half the struggle for players. "Man, these guys are bigger and faster", but that was the same thought they had early in highschool.

We’ve seen this before and then he turns back into the Nick we all know. But I’m hoping like you guys that he can build on this. Time will tell

I’m a believer because I want to believe it based on what we’ve seen so far.

The good thing is this team doesn’t need Richards to be a world-beater. Just block/alter a few shots a game, hit the boards, and drop in a few buckets to keep defenses honest. If he can do that consistently this team has everything they need to get 9.

part of his progression is to dominate weaker opponents. Big step. He is starting to play like he did in the Bahamas. Relaxed and having fun.

I am in the wait and see what happens mode. But this a big game for Nick, and hopefully a confidence booster that will stick with him through the season.

Now for EJ to give some. Serviceable reasonable minutes to get 40 out of the 5 spot with 10 fouls to give. Must feel great for the entire team to see Nick having fun. Fan base loves it.

I’ve liked what I’ve seen. I also liked what I saw with EJ against Mich St. sure he missed some shots but still thought he played well. Our bigs keep this up and we’ll be cutting nets

I think Nick has finally seen just how much he can do for our team and has accepted that he belongs right where he is.

By him getting in better shape, he's changed his game in practice and now he's seeing the results in the games. I'm sure the last couple years he's had some great practices but he couldn't get those results in the game. I would say that would be really tough as a player and it would be easy to get down on yourself.

I'm super proud of him and excited to watch him keep getting better as we go along.
