This was a fun interview. I was suprised he spoke pretty candid about the differences in Mullen and Moorhead as coaches. We as fans always speculate but hearing it from a former QB is different.

Dang man… you’ve got interviews with Scott Stricklin, Vic Shaefer and Shane Power too?! I’m intrigued! This one was good. Enjoyed it a lot

Thanks so much! The Jackie Sherrill interview is the most downloaded one of all the Bulldog ones we’ve done

Glad you posted this....looking back on your library of shows - you have some interesting interviews. Will go through and listen to some of them.

Good interview. Fitz is one of our all time greats that probably doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

This was really cool to listen to. Thanks for sharing it.

And it was pretty startling to hear Fitz confirm how lazy Moorhead was with discipline. His problems as a head coach would be easily fixable if he knew how to actually point the thumb and not the finger.

Fitz had a great arm. Makes me wonder how good we would have been if he didn’t have depth perception problems

Enjoyed that.

Yeah that was pretty telling…

“Players that were never late for meetings under Mullen were late all the time under Moorhead”.

Why he left MSU? His four years were up. Played in 8 games as a freshman.

Why he left the NFL? He wasn't very good at tight end and nowhere near an NFL QB.

Edit: Wow, so far five idiots don't understand the difference between college and the NFL. How many more are there?

I think you missed one word of my question. I was asking about why Vic Shaefer left and if he gave any clarity on that. I’m assuming that’s why you got all the downvotes.

Yes that was great.
I've always been a fan of Fitz, and like him even more after that. Great honesty.

Did y’all ever ask Vic off air about why he left?

Edit: Wow, the guy busting 5 other dudes balls about not understanding something is doing so because he can't read. If you're going to be an ***, do a better job

If the interview with Sherrill was the most downloaded, which one was the best for y'all to do?

I enjoyed doing the Sherrill interview the best because of the personal connection I have with him. I also enjoyed the John Schneider interview because he was my childhood hero and now we are good friends. We’ve enjoyed all of them though. Nick Fitzgerald is now the most downloaded we have done and it’s only been 2 days since it’s been released!

In his defense, NWADog doesn't know how to reply, so it's conceivable that Mobile Bay just missed the 'Vic' part.

But Mobile Bay is also stupid in the fact that Fitzgerald was in fact a 5th year senior.

I feel like I’ve shown I can reply correctly on occasion. He just clearly missed Vic in my post. This thread really took a turn

Yes, I misread it as Nic instead of Vic, which is reasonable since the thread had nothing at all to do with Vic Schaffer.

Edit : 5th year or not, you only play four years

If you read the previous post in this thread where I mentioned their other podcasts with Vic, Scott Stricklin and others and then read my other post asking about the Vic departure you’d see that Vic was brought up in this thread which has everything to do with this guys podcasts. But whatever man… calm down guy

So far one idiot doesn't understand Nick was on an XFL roster last year, or that the NFL was not the only option, unless it has bern announced that league is shutting down.

Why be such a jackass? Is your life that miserable?

So far he's the only idiot that can't discern between Nick and Vic....so asking complicated questions like that may be a little painful

In the interview Nick Fitz (not to be confused with Vic Splitz) talks about how he's now got a job in Tampa flipping houses he works on and he absolutely loves it. Says he also might do some private teaching for young Qbs in the Tampa area but he has no interest in coaching football and it pretty much sounds like he's 100% done playing it as a job. Good for him for finding something else he really enjoys so soon after football. Also this thread got super weird fast but also pretty entertaining. Would read again.
