It's a business decision for those guys. I get it. But it should also be a business decision on UK's part. So Cal should tell them we can't be left short handed and go get Haarms before somebody else does.

I don’t like the rule, I believe it puts the team and coaches in a bad spot. What if last minute they decide to leave...then what’s the coaches to do?

Did some of you really need Dave (or anyone else for that matter) to freaking tell you Nick would declare ? No ****, he will declare and get feed back. I will go out on a limb and tell what I am hearing. Ashton Hagans will declare, so will Maxey. But I do not think they will leave the door open to come back. Did i beat Dave to the punch with this top secret info ? Good lord some of you are so gullible. Of course he will declare, but the insider info I want to know is how serious is he considering coming back if he does not get the info he seeks ? Now that would be a nice bone tossed to us.
One more thing, If Nick leaves the door open, Haarms is not coming here. He has stated loud and clear, he is transferring to showcase his post up abilities, not to go somewhere and play second fiddle or be a 3rd/4th option. So IF he has no intentions of coming back, let the staff know so they can tell Haarms. Now between the two, give me Nick Richards and it is not even close.

Agreed. We can't go into next season with just Brooks and Jackson. All the work we put in to get these elite wings will be wasted.
I'd find out when Haarms wants to make a decision. Call Nick and EJ the night before. Tell them the deal. Leave the draft and come back and the spot is yours, but if you're still undecided, we are taking Haarms. If you come back, you'll have a practice body.
Would he really do that? Personally, I would give them each 2 weeks to think about it. The team HAS to come first.
Kid's egoes are huge. I don't remember the last time a kid said "I decided to leave because Coach needs to build the program".

Haarms certainly shouldn't be worried about EJ. If he can't compete with him, we don't need him.
I agree.. but I also think that a transfer will want the absolute best situation for him. If you're going to transfer to Kentucky, and have a fresh start, you probably want as much lined up for you as possible.

Hey maybe Ware or Jackson can step in. But coming in to play Center or PF as a freshman is never easy.. We've seen more struggle than play well. If EJ and Nick, and Lee and WCS couldn't do it as freshman.. I'm not sure what we can expect out of them.
Nick declared for the draft this morning it is unclear if he is going to seek out an agent you just don't know until probably later today
