I’m starting to wonder if the longer kicks aren’t easier because he isn’t overthinking them. He’s just hitting the ball as hard as he can.

Kickers needs experience, it's like public speaking. It's not that difficult if you've practiced it but everybody watching makes it different.

Rhule was very happy for him.
One of my favorite moments of the game was how excited Rhule got when he nailed it. You could tell Rhule had been waiting for him to have such a kick and knew he deserved it.

Rhule is definitely a coach who will celebrate the best versions of the players and prop them up while it’s being developed.

Yes, the difference in his improvement I think is mental confidence. If he can continue to develop his confidence, he'll be very good over his career which has just begun.
