QB Jeremy Hecklinski's 'relentless' downfield approach is just what Iowa needs
One of the more interesting position battles to watch during Iowa's spring practices is at the quarterback position. With Mark Gronowski exhausting his eligibil
We have RBs that are 5'11 and 200 lbs.5' 11", 188 lbs..maybe 200+ now? - might have to bring in Brown for short yardage situations.
A good article but really we dont have any game evidence to speak of to know how he will play and react if he is the starter. Someone said if we are winning big in the first game to give Brown some snaps also. I have always been for playing your backups in all positions when you can. It is how the blue bloods dont miss a beat from year to year.![]()

#1, we aint going to have any 4th and 1 situations,5' 11", 188 lbs..maybe 200+ now? - might have to bring in Brown for short yardage situations.
I would take Drew Tate 2.0 with the fly off the handle mental aspects as well. Just no bail tosses please...A good article but really we dont have any game evidence to speak of to know how he will play and react if he is the starter. I hope Heck is Drew Tate 2.0 without quite as much fly off the handle mental aspects.
Yeah, that won't be predictable.5' 11", 188 lbs..maybe 200+ now? - might have to bring in Brown for short yardage situations.
LJ Phillips 5ft9 225lbs. Compact. We have RBs that are 5'11 and 200 lbs.
I am not expecting Drew Tate 2.0, but that would be great needless to say. Just hope he is mobil enough to avoid big losses and does not "bail toss". We have running backs and recievers, just get the ball to them enough on passes "DOWNFIELD" enough so running game excells.I would take Drew Tate 2.0 with the fly off the handle mental aspects as well. Just no bail tosses please...
Think of Butler and Mikaei Sargent as bruiser backs who did very well at Iowa the last 6-8 years. Leshun Daniels was maybe that weightLJ Phillips 5ft9 225lbs. Compact.
IMO Tate 2.0 would be a dream come true.A good article but really we dont have any game evidence to speak of to know how he will play and react if he is the starter. THIS would be a good deal, if it pans out.![]()
