Yes, I think that 80% of this board could have placed that one better. The receiver still could have had it, but it was bad throw on what was an easy throw.

All three of the Steeler QBs have looked good tonight. Maybe the problem the last several years has been the offense.

Ehhh--a lot of people here are pretty old including me so maybe not 80% lol
But, yes, that's the stuff that is going to time for him to get comfortable with--like we all said when he was here "not a great throw but should have been caught"---the clock in his head needs to slow down

TD pass for Allar. He looks really good and so did Rudolph and Howard. The Steelers are actually throwing the ball over the middle a good bit, which is a big change from the past several years.

Three drives with Allar at QB. Three TDs. Two TD passes. One TD run (by Allar).

I know he's playing against backups, but he looks really good.

10-13 155 yards, 2 passing TDs one rushing TD, passer rating 155 out of a possible 158. Yeah, they were right, it had nothing to do with the coaching.

McCarthy fixed him way faster than I expected though--which maybe it wasn't fundamentals at all. We all know our scheme was awful but....now I wonder what even Clifford could have done with a real offensive scheme

For sure. He couldn’t have done better. No doubt he has a long way to go, but what a great situation he is in. Very happy for him.

It took an actual real Coaching staff 3 weeks of camp and 3 months of teaching to fix what an absolute moron and his idiot staff 4 years to break down and mentally destroy. Thank Goodness for real NFL coaches.

McCarthy is one of best qb coaches. Perfect spot for Allar. Hopefully keeps moving forward as he’s still only 22 years old.

Yeah I guess splash plays can happen when you hit a receiver on a short slant and he outruns the DB. Who knew?

Can you imagine having a prototypical sized pocket passer 5 star QB with a cannon arm and pairing him with a gimmick OC that runs a system meant for running QBs? It’s just outrageously stupid how Franklin handled Drew. And he paired him with an idiot QB coach. If you think about it, this was probably his best game since the very first WVU game. After that WVU game, it appeared that Franklin told him he wasn’t allowed to use his abilities anymore. I shouldn’t let a preseason NFL game upset me about the past, but my goodness.
