It seems like Hawkeyes have gone from underrated in draft to maybe a little overrated...
I believe with guys like kittle, laporta, wirf, dejean,Campbell ect excelling in the league, NFL GMs are starting to look for chances to grab KF trained players.

Good for recruiting...come to Iowa and get the kf sheen for NFL careers!

Definitely a good amount of Iowa grown NFL talent the last 25 years and all-pro guys the last several years now.

If you look at the statistics for senior starters at Iowa under KF the pattern has stayed pretty consistent

Just to clarify, is Iowa producing NFL talent regardless of what team they are on or is KF just a beast?
I read it as NFL players from a state, regardless of what school they played for. And the number is players per million in population. Iowa represents very well.

The Hawkeyes certainly haven't hurt the number for Illinois over the years.

Ferentz teaches and demands the type of habits players need to have to stick around for a 2nd, sometimes 3rd contract in the NFL. Not every one of Ferentz' players has NFL talent, but for those who do, I believe the life lessons, accountability, and work ethic they develop at Iowa prepares them for the NFL almost better than any other school on the country.

That statistic is pretty damn amazing abd gratifying.

I will never forget that video clip of Hayden Fry (probably somewhat early in his tenure) saying that "there are only five or maybe possibly six Iowa high school football players annually that are worthy of Division 1 scholarships."

That was probably a pretty accurate statement at the time it was made, but it seems that the quality of coaching/training, et cetera in Iowa has really improved over the decades.

Large population states
Large population with a ton that never have touched a football and could care less. Not a political statement but there are a ton of people in Cali that don't speak the language but are included in the population numbers for example. Not much of that in Iowa on a per million basis. Never the less this is a real impressive figure for Iowa....#5 state on the list.
