Mendoza is a career backup. He is a system qb, with a penchant for getting rocked when he moves out of the pocket. He was an average qb at Cal, fit in well with Indiana's system, but still was pretty average against decent opponents. Throw in the fact that college qbs just are not ready for the NFL until year 4 or 5 now, and the fact he is going to a dumpster fire of a situation, with a team that can't hide him with defense and a running game. It is a really bad qb class, and the NFL is so hungry for qbs that it makes sense people are slobbering over the best option. The reason the NFL is so hungry for qbs is that the current college system cannot prepare qbs for the NFL and all of the young ones are flaming out. NIL and the transfer portal has been the worst thing for quality football. If I was an NFL gm, I would load up on defensive line, offensive, line, and get a stable of backs. The new NFL is going to have to minimize qb play. Can you remind me of the qbs who played in the last superbowl?
It's rare to see someone so confident, yet so stupid.

Just argue one thing back. Say he has a quick release or a strong arm, or can throw from multiple arm angles...you just continue to be a sheep just gobbling ignorant media instead of watching the film. He is just average and people like him because of his interviews and the fact he was on a dominant team. Indiana was great last year without him as well. In fact, Cignetti said the team from 2024 was better. Qbs in college are so unprepared because of the wide hashes, heavy reliance on zone read, and quick screen passing game which means they don't have to read defenses. He isn't big, strong, doesn't take contact well, rarely had to succeed against cover 2, and he was had the best oline in college football. He is Ken Dorsey in a time where Qbs are so bad that Ken Dorsey might be the #1 pick.

You need to understand that nobody reads beyond one or two sentences of what you have to say.

You and @inWV are practically the same person, spending paragraphs beleaguering elementary info to a non-existent audience.

Maybe we'll get along outside of politics - lol. Who knows.. I tried telling the guy to stop refusing to use paragraphs or breaks. He's like a bot who can't stop. Like one long run-on sentence no one reads.

You and I likely share 90% of the same opinions.

Let's leave all that behind

Lots of draft picks, and cap space.
Yeah, the raiders don't exactly have the best draft success the last 20 years. Cap space is phenomenal, but I don't foresee top end talent wanting to go to a place that has 2 seasons above .500 in the last 23 years, and 15 different head coaches in that same time span. Forgive my lack of confidence in my franchise at the moment.

Seems like a good dude, but still believe RBs are a dime-a-dozen. Their O-line is buns.
I'm gonna be brave enough to say current Andy Reid teams look exactly like end of Eagles tenure teams.

Culture erosion is a predictable symptom of collecting a roster full of felons.

Chiefs have had arguably the secod best 10 year span in the history of the NFL..Pats beimg #1 of course.

Every team not names the Pats would trade their best 10 year run with it.

Andy's run with Philly looks nothing like his run with the Chiefs, and he got run because he had McNabb for a QB.

They ain't getting that.

I could live with something like a 1st, 3rd, and a starting WR or DL though...especially if the picks are in the first 20 of each round.

I'm sure I'll end up being disappointed though. The thing that's different about the Crosby and Parsons situations(other than parsons being a better pass-rusher while crosby is better vs the run) is Crosby's contract is through 2029 I believe, and it's pretty reasonable.
Got a good LB from GB
