About where I had expected CT to land (3 to 5, but w/ the greater likelihood at the higher end).

Even tho this QB class was seen as a down year for the draft, the problem was that there weren't too many teams in desperate need of a QB (Wash was probably the only one that desperately needed a QB who can step in and start; and Miami got a deal in getting Rosen on the cheap, but Rosen will still have to battle RF for the starting job) and teams that are looking to upgrade their starters are looking to the 2020 and 2021 draft classes.

Back-up/project QBs simply weren't worth higher picks, esp. in a draft filled w/ defensive talent.

But CT ended up in a good situation; albeit, right now, he's the projected 3rd stringer behind Sudfeld.

Jones will be a very good starter for them sooner rather than later. Accurate and mobile. I doubt he would have been on the board past the #10 or 11 pick if the Giants had passed.

While DJ is a fit for the Shurmur scheme, one has to wonder why Jones didn't have better stats while being under the tutelage of Cutcliffe, even taken into account the level of talent surrounding him at Dook.

Another thing is that DJ will be playing 6 games year in cold/windy conditions in Jersey, DC and Philly and he has an average arm; another thing is that he isn't noted for accuracy on downfield passes.

Otoh, DJ had no major offers and was committed to Princeton when his HS coach asked a favor of Cutcliffe to take a look and ended up at Dook as a greyshirt.

Man... 7 Buckeyes drafted in first 4 rounds and we have 0 so far. As great as our program is going, the talent gap is still HUGE.
Heck NIU OL was drafted in I think the 3rd round. Doesn't it seem odd that Fitz waited all of these years to replace our OL coach?
