Checking in at training camp:

“I want jersey #2.”

“It’s retired.”

“For who????”

“Tim Couch.”

They gave Deshaun Watson an obscene amount of money with 20 sexual assault charges.

Plus they have 4 QBs on that roster now. Flaco, Pickett, Gabriel and Sanders. No guarantee we will ever see him take a snap for Cleveland.

The Browns and SS definitely deserve each other.

Maybe he'll prove everyone wrong, but if he ends up more than a career backup and a media sideshow, I'll consider that a success for him.

I think what his camp didn't understand is when you're an unquestionable generational athletic freak of a talent like Deion was, you can have the attitude and approach he has cultivated and get away with it.

When you're a decent to good college QB with some holes in your game, you're not worth the headache that comes with all that to most teams.

Feel sorry for the guys drafted after Sanders. Don't get to hear their name called because they're still talking about Sanders

Yep that is why they are what they are for a franchise. Jesus six picks since and still talking about him .

Mel Kiper's throat must be sore from the way he's servicing Shedeur and the Sanders family...

I'm kinda sad for anyone picked since him, since they've barely gotten talked about.

Keiper is a GASBAG
Yes, Mel Kiper did state that if Jimmy Clausen didn't become a successful NFL quarterback within eight years, he would retire. Kiper made this statement in 2010 after the draft, where Clausen was selected by the Carolina Panthers. Clausen's NFL career did not meet Kiper's expectations, and he ultimately retired in 2015.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  • The Statement:
Kiper famously stated that if Jimmy Clausen didn't become a successful NFL quarterback within eight years of being drafted, he would retire.
  • Clausen's Career:
Clausen, drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2010, had a lackluster NFL career with 14 interceptions, 7 touchdowns, and a 1-13 record as a starter.
  • Kiper's Promise:
Kiper's statement highlighted his strong belief in Clausen's potential and the consequences of his prediction being incorrect.
  • The Outcome:
Clausen's career did not live up to Kiper's projections, and Kiper continued to work in the NFL draft analysis industry.

Starting to think Mel will is showing signs of some early onset dementia…

it wasn't just being ranked on the jackass bell curve. it was being being ranked extreme jack *** on the bell curve. could become the pick of the draft or just another wasted pick by the browns. we'll see.

If anything Browns got him on the cheap. Will probably sign for about $3-6 million a year. Won’t be huge financial hit if Shadouche flames out.

Yep and that story that someone offered him an ungodly amount of NIL was obviously false . He would have taken it instead of this. He had to now he was a later rd pick.

And he was gonna back up Manning. If Ewers comes back, Manning isn’t all but promised the starting job, he transfers. Texas can’t afford to spend 2 years developing the top QB prospect to have him jump to an SEC rival and kick their ***.

Browns doing browns things, getting two rookie QB’s to add to their roster. Good sanders is in the division, will take away focus and money from the browns ability to win games

Watch them draft Will Howard now as well.
I actually think Howard has a somewhat decent shot in the NFL. He doesn't have the super strong arm but is extremely accurate and is a smart game manager. Kind of reminds me - a little - of Brock Purdy

I would 10 times over take Howard over Sanders.
