This needs to be posted again. His dumb *** must have really bombed in those interviews. Good job dummy.

The NFL does investigate prospects thoroughly and few in Shaduer's background are covering for him. The blatant favoritism, existing in your own Dad's bubble for so long. Some of those stories seemed so far fetched that they couldn't be true, but it appears that they are all true.

If all he is, is a backup QB, who the hell wants the sideshow, immaturity, and outside social media drama in your locker room?

Although I’m loving the Shedeur Sanders draft saga, I kinda feel the same as this about watching the draft

Entertainment factor aside, this could be the best thing that ever happened to Sanders. He's going to have to get his **** together just to make a roster, and even then he'll probably be the emergency-only QB at times. If he listens to his new coach and distances himself from Daddy, this might actually be a better path for him than just turning into the next JaMarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf. That's probably what happens if he had been a top 10 pick.

It’s definitely looking like that - I couldn’t believe it given the hype - but there is a bunch of people who likely see him as an absolute cancer to their team. You get taken low enough - I suppose you just come in and shut up or get bounced.
I think it's entirely possible he goes undrafted. The NFL has already shown that it doesn't like prima donnas and distractions at QB. They don't want Deion hanging around making demands and they don't want Shedeur throwing his teammates under the bus and refusing to listen to the coaches. I doubt he'll accept being a backup without having an attitude so they'll just keep passing him over.

The story of him taking a FaceTime call during an interview with an NFL team is absolutely crazy if true. It wouldn’t take long for that story to make it through the nfl circles.

And that's another reason to hate the NIL era. The talent flocks to the super teams. Ohio State recruits exclusively five star and high four star talent. Yet they still brought in Simmons and Judkins who get drafted in the top 35 picks with others to follow. Seems like almost all of the guys Mississippi and Oregon will have get drafted are NIL transfers.
It's no different than when Georgia and Bama were paying the top talent under the table. At least with the NIL it's giving other teams a shot.

I don't think this is that complicated. There were only a few franchises that really need a qb. Sanders made it seem like he was above them. The rest of the franchises already have long-term qbs, or are functional organizations that don't want a known dipshit and his known dipshit family in their building.

If you are legitimately trying to win a SB, does that circus help? If you have a young qb room, does that circus help? If you have a young coach, does bringing in that circus undermine him? There were only a few legit options, IMO, and he seems to have poisoned those relationships.

Then that would be a reason for Sanders to not be in Pittsburgh.
Why? Shadeur is not the only guy that Tomlin likes. He likes lots of prospects. Just because some reporter said Tomlin likes a guy doesn't mean he automatically likes him more than everyone else.

Omar Khan calls the shots. Andy Weidl has a lot of influence. Tomlin is in the room as is the owner, but they aren't making the decisions. The franchise is expecting Aaron Rodgers to sign with them. If they thought Shadeur was a franchise QB, they would have picked him in the first round. As long as better overall prospects like the Iowa back are on the board, I would bet that the Steelers don't draft Sanders even in round 4. Who wants a QB room with Aaron Rodgers and Daddy's boy Sanders?

I won't argue that. I just think that the immediate transfer stuff with NIL is worse. I remember being surprised at how well Ole Miss and Oregon were doing last fall. Now during NFL draft time, I've come to realize that both teams were stacked with short term transfers. Nebraska is trying to play the NIL game but there's a huge difference between what we are getting and what Ohio State, Oregon, are bringing in.

Shedeur Sanders is still on the draft board because all the NFL teams know they'd be inviting 16 year old behavior into their locker rooms.

Hey Shedeur, grab your camera crew and go thank your Daddy.

media making this it harder for GMs to draft Sanders. People that merely disliked Sanders now resent and hate him for ruining their draft coverage. I know I loved it yesterday but tired of day three being even more about him.

Don't blame Nebraska on this. Phil Knight is unloading his wallet in an attempt to buy a championship before he dies. Ohio State is being Ohio State.

Not blaming them. Just stating how it is. It's only some of our fans and the local Husker media types who are in denial or just naive.
