We're gonna need so many goddam rentals next year that QB should probably be low on the priority list.
Look at all the players we will be losing after this year, along with any potential transfers DESPITE the fact that there will be open spots across the board for those waiting in the wings (well, all except for QB in fact, unless a player or three transfers).
I expect Brown and Hecklinski to be back at the very least and I think Kirk, unless this is somehow his last year, is ready to not chase one-year rentals at QB anymore, especially given that Iowa's offense still isn't necessarily an established commodity yet.
I'd rather us focus on WR, OL, DL, LB and DB. We'll be set at RB and I doubt we can get a player of note at TE to transfer so we won't bother with that. Most any other position (outside of QB) is either gonna need help in the portal, or we're gonna need these guys on the bench to truly f***ing grow up and emerge out of nowhere next year, or things could get pretty damn rough given that we're gonna have one of the least-experienced rosters in terms of starts at that program from the season prior in the country going into next year.
And the schedule isn't much easier next year, if at all.............
