MAAC talent? You're either a troll or overreacting to a lousy game.
LOL. The #1 receiver, the #3 Back, and the #1 QB in the BIG coming into the week...hahahahahahah ..and another lousy game not named named OSE and PSU coming up. My God can you bend over any further? Did you listen to the announcers talking about 1 of the worst defenses in the country?

The MAAC talent is on the sidelines wearing the granny glasses and having an offense that runs the same up the middle delayed run play after play after play after play...

Surace needs to transfer back to Princeton and start for his dad. He’ll get killed on next years RU team. Win the Ivy maybe POY .Major in International Finance and grad school at Harvard, with nice memories of college football. Kid is not going pro. Don’t be a BIG punching bag. Elites don’t need to be heroes. Dad misjudged Schiano 2

Asshat.

I swear, this board after a loss is worse than a cesspool.

Guess you need take most of your weekends off during league play 02. Who's fault is that?
Listen — I’m beyond disappointed at the results this year and quickly losing any remaining confidence in Schiano.

But I’m a Rutgers fan no matter what happens and I’m not going to tolerate posters calling for our future QB (or any future player for that matter) to leave like the asshat @Redrich66 did.

I can walk and chew gum at the same time, and I don’t need to go overboard with postgame reactions like that one.

Even if it’s in the best interest of said player ?

OK 02. I know you're a class act. I guess I didn't see that particular response.

Thanks. You as well. I’m happy to engage in a conversation with you because I know you’re a good guy and a great RU fan. Shelby is also quoting me in this thread and I’m intentionally ignoring him.

Why is it bad to acknowledge that our talent is lacking.

Sure they might not be Mac level. But compared to the rest of the big, they are:

1) slow

2) not physical

3) struggle with play calling/reading and adjustments

You don't see players from Iowa or UCLA failing to make plays like RU players do despite the fact that they are not even top 25 teams. Because they have the talent and discipline to execute, unlike our athletes.

Every year is going to be ugly. We don't have the money to compete in an uncapped NIL system ... and never will. Unless and until we wind up in a system with a salary cap for NIL, this is what we have to look forward to.

I’ve been following RU football since 1962, and a RU grad 1972. We are not a Big 10 team and never will be our fans are more mouth than money. I’ve donated every year since 1972, in hopes that improvement would occur. Other than a handful of successful years RU has never been able to compete at a high level. Money is the answer and most people on this board are too cheap. That’s why they went to RU in the first place. Great education but no loyalty to the university and the sports teams. it’s time for me to move on, at least living in CT I have Uconn sports to watch, even their football team doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not.

Never with Schiano, true. People support winners. Winning drives popularity. people come to games, buy merch, and donate seeing their money make a difference. He’s a grifter and a loser, wasting salary and donations the latter of which will understandably dry up soon with this incompetent punchline coach. Keep choppin LOL.

We don't have b10 talent...we have MAAC type talent and weak coaches all around.
And we keep bringing in that same level talent from the portal. I'm tired of watching the other games on Saturday and marveling at the studs I'm seeing, especially at QB and the trenches.

I will be pleasantly stunned if Duff is here next year.

He has to be very near the top of the WR list in an NIL market that if going to have a few teams throwing a lot of money around.
I actually think Duff stays. He will get paid but there is one thing that Greg does do well, find the kids and families that respect Rutgers in general beyond just the game.
I believe both Duff and Strong had big offers of NIL this year and did stay.

at least we have a good basketball coach that can actually teach and coach them.

It's so obvious what an axe grinder you are when we had 2 top 5 picks and had a losing season and you consider it "good coaching" but are screeching about football when we basically play straight to our talent level.

because many of our fans take it as an attack on Greg. Greg is bigger than Rutgers to them

that's how I see it anyway

At least between their men’s and women’s basketball teams, UConn has won 17 national championships

MAAC ? Besides Quinnipiac and Merrimack, what teams are in that conference ?

Derkack was phenomenal. Maybe we can get the MAAC defensive player of the year for football too, but it would have to be a flag football intramural player.

Quinnipiac does have a glorious Fieldhouse though, so their intramural football kids are probably 5 star studs, perhaps even 6 or 7 star.

I hope he does, but it is hard to imagine there will be a better WR “available” and there will be a lot of big schools with new coaches looking to spend big NIL money they just got as a condition of being hired.

The other thing that worries me is our QB situation compared to potential suitors, though a positive is that Ciarocca’s offense has suited him and given him a lot of exposure.
