I agree. Usually if it's an ACL/MCL, the kid would be writhing in pain. He wasn't so I'm hoping it's not....Of course, he could just be a really tough kid. Hate to see this stuff.

It looked like when he slipped it put stress on his LCL (outer side of knee). Hope he is ok.

Quincy McKnight was helped off the court with what could have been a bad injury, but not like this one. A best case scenario is he was distraught about slipping and hurt his leg and also because he turned it over and just felt terrible about the play in general.

McKnight turned around and played 3 days later after he was helped off the court and a MRI clearly showed no structural damage. I think these kids train so hard and have so much flexibility and strength that at 19 or 20, sometimes it could be fine and not serious.

If the MRI comes back clean on Dousomu, it would not shock me that he plays Saturday at RU.

No one forces anyone to attend college. You can play overseas like one of the Ball kids. You can sit out like James Wiseman and Mitchell Robinson etc. Its a shame but no one forces anyone to play on college and in fairness to Ayo he is not a player that was going to be drafted out of High School. On the other hand, look at Myles Powell and Lamar Stevens who came back for their senior years and have elevated their draft status significantly.

MLB has the burden of taking the risk. NBA has farmed it off to NCAAs.
