It really stinks about Omoyuri and I hope its not for too long, but I am not terribly worried because I think Carter has stepped up now in the rotation big time. But we are now a big man short and there will be a time when we are in foul trouble and need to spell a player for a few minutes. The only one left on the bench is Luke Nathan. Has anyone seen the practices? Can he be relied upon for a couple minutes here and there until Omoyuri is back?

I don't see the need for a 4th big, even with Omoruyi out. What about the rotation after he got injured last night was unsustainable? And that was without Kiss as well. Only Johnson is heavily foul-prone (understandable as a freshman).

If there's serious big-man foul trouble I think we'd just go small rather than steal minutes with Nathan (who I'm pretty sure is being redshirted, based on the fact that Downes played in multiple games early on but Nathan did not).

I have seen waaaay too many times in both the FHJ and Jordan era where because we had four or less big men we had games where foul trouble meant only token defense in the paint. You can't assume people won't get into foul trouble.

Not impossible to play without bigs. Within the last few years, the Dayton Flyers were put into a similar situation and the coach and staff made adjustments accordingly. Losing an important player is not the end of the world. Make adjustments, bench players will have new opportunities to capitalize on, play hard(er) and smarter.

Can anyone comment on how well Luke competes in practice? Reasonably well? Clearly overmatched?
