Why would any of these coaches want to be associated with this fan base? They’re making millions elsewhere and their current schools will offer them a raise to keep them. The UK fan base have made this job too toxic for a really good coach to want it. I predict a Billy G type candidate that flames out after a few miserable seasons.
Oh I don’t know. Maybe because this past summer college coaches voted the UK job no.1 in college basketball. Nice try though.

Idk who you are but you’re not a UK fan. The only people who have made UK basketball toxic are Cal and his enabler Barnhart.

Right, but their 1-on-1 play is effective, because they actually space the court and give guys room to operate.
And he actually recruits guys who can handle the ball and shoot at all 5 positions. We usually have 3-4 guys on the court at a time who can only do one thing well.

Nate Oats has never been past a SW16. What is supposed to be exciting about that? He teams chuck a bunch of 3's and hope they are on that night. No thanks!

Musselman is an interesting one to watch, but his age works against him.

Scott Drew has been past the sw16 3 times in 20 years. Only once since 2012. Hell no!!!!
He won a championship

I think Vogel is a good possibility. Wouldn’t be my first choice, but I think he is the guy most likely to take the job and not cost us a mint.

He is a UK alum, so this would be his dream job, one would think. I doubt he would leave us for the NBA, because he has been there, done that. He should be able to recruit with his pedigree.

I’d rather have a few other guys, but I think he is the best choice that would actually take the job.

Just watched the 2nd half of Bama and Arkansas. I counted the possessions and # of passes per possession after they had crossed halfcourt for Bama only. They had 38 possessions and made a total of 38 passes. On 12 possessions, they made 0 passes. To sum up their offense, the point guard dribbled the ball until he thought he could beat his man to the basket. If he couldn't, the man he passed it to went 1 on 1.

There was no ball movement and little player movement. The only player that moved was the one that had the ball. They have tremendous talent, but I would bet that they will get bounced out of either the SEC or NCAA tournament because of how they play. Just not a consistent offensive formula for success in my opinion, as they will really need to shoot a good percentage from the 3-point line in every game to win.

The Hogs played the same way on offense, I just did not track them. Reason why I don't want Mussleman or Oats when CCC is gone.
