Out of the list here, I’ll take Drew. Guy can coach. If I could pick, I’d take Stevens, but only if he wanted it really badly. Otherwise, we’d have another Cal on our hands. I don’t think he would want to put in the recruiting work.

Bruce Pearl at UK would resemble the 1990's Pitino teams.
He is an excellent recruiter. He has a huge personality that would thrive in the UK spotlight. He plays a fast paced run and gun offense that we like. His teams are energetic and fight like crazy for 40 minutes. He took Auburn, which was probably the worst basketball program in the SEC, and turned them into a perennial Top 15 team. Not to mention winning SEC Titles.

I hated the guy when he was at UT, but he would be my top choice at the moment.
This seems like the best choice. He’s the only one I can think of who could handle the Kentucky job

Of all the guys you all have mentioned, only Wright and Donovan can claim more success than the current coach. Musselman and Oats have never even been to a F4. Hell, Oats hasn't been past the sw16, and he's only made is that far once.

Y'all need $90M for the buyout first....... better get to work on that

Let's see 50,000 fans and a GoFundMe page, right?
I believe it’s right around $40 million after this season. No chump change but not $90 million.

it’s patently absurd that UK is in this position to begin with.
Brainfart sucks wind thru his ***...

Try listing someone that might take the job, or you’re just wasting everyone’s time.

What has Pearl done in the tournament since at Auburn? 2018 lost in second round, 2019 lost in final four, 2022, lost in second round. That's it.

Meanwhile, Drew just won the national championship in 2021 and has another great team this year. Drew brought them back from one of the biggest NCAA scandals in basketball history.

What Drew has done at Baylor is grossly underrated.....I mean it could possibly be the best coaching job, like, ever. Baylor was absolute trash......Then as you pointed out, the murder scandal. He built Baylor.

Right now I'd take Kelvin Sampson over keeping Cal. He has Houston on the map and his guys are clearly sculpted. No skinny flabby arms like we saw on TyTy and Toppin.

Who do I want? Brad stevens.

Is that going to happen? No probably not but I’m not against offering him a 200M 12 year contract to see if he’d bite
My pick as well, with Drew and Pearl tied for second.

I keep saying the same thing. Plus, he can actually develop players, isn't in love with the NBA Draft and is a good X's and O's guy. He would kill it at UK.

UK absolutely positively CANNOT hire Mark Few or Eric Musselman. They both have drinking issues. We've had 2 drunks here in the past Eddie Sutton a great coach & Billy Clyde, they were both disasters. If a coach has a drinking problem the UK job is the last coaching job in the world that he needs to be working at......... Give me Scott Drew, you would think that any coach would choose Kentucky over Baylor.

Can you imagine how much damage Oscar would do in that sprint-the-floor-and-then-actually-play-offense-when-you-get-to-the-other-end offense?

I hate to break it to you but there’s a lot of good time Charlie’s around the football program that love to go out and party and play grabass with female servers. No one gives a **** until it makes the news for a DUI…which keeps happening.

It's only $40M after this season. Calm your teets.
It goes down about 6 mil per year, but we still got about 5 years before we can honestly afford to pay it. So, unless Cal voluntarily leaves that much money on the table, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Some of you all need to get over that or move on to another team in the meantime.
