Did covid make you support Talarico? Gotta hope the R's keep the Senate even if you hate Trump so much as France 2.0 is on the horizon.
Yet another stupid post, starting to assume you also are as fact-free as the other hard rightists here. Let's assume France is burning solely due to immigration matters (debatable, but we will assume it). France's primary immigrant groups are Muslims from North Africa and some combination of Muslims and Christians from sub-saharan Africa. France also has some Middle Eastern immigrants and basically no immigrants from much of Asia and central/south America.
In sharp contrast, nearly the entirety of America's immigrants are from central/south America and Asia. SO THE IMMIGRANT MIX IS BASICALLY THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF THE ONE IN FRANCE. It's somewhere in the vicinity of 5% of American immigrants being from the Middle East and Africa (and to boot, most of the African immigrants are Christians).
So America has Christian immigrants who have largely assimilated, while France has Muslim immigrants who haven't. Exactly how are these the same? Make a counterargument if you think they are, I don't give two sh*ts about your electioneering.
And now we move onto Covid. Let's just say that, not only was I hostile to the Covid shutdowns and hysteria, I was so hostile that on Twitter I was followed by Jay Bhattacharya, who is now Trump's #2 in HHS. The same Jay Bhattacharya who was the primary sponsor of The Great Barrington Declaration? Yep ... same guy. I think the government (including the one under Trump) was wrong on masking, shutdowns, the origin of Covid (it came from the lab IMHO), the dangerousness of the disease (very dangerous for the old/infirm and not particularly dangerous for healthier/younger folks), and vaccine mandates.
And yet, here you are thinking I was "with the Dems on Covid" because I'm not an insane, anti-scientific idiot on vaccines. Not only were the Covid vaccines a definite net positive (not saying there was no drawbacks but they were far less concerning than, you know, Covid itself). Even worse, and totally predictably, the vaccine stupidity has spread to normal vaccines that in many cases save millions of lives. I don't know what to say other than "I followed the actual data on Covid, why wouldn't I do the same with vaccines"?
As for the Senate, I'd probably vote for most GOP candidates. I like Susan Collins and the R candidates in OH/IA/AK. I hate Abdul Sayed, and the GOP candidate in MI is fine. I'd probably vote for the R in Kansas.
But I live in Texas, where the loons with which you now make common cause have served me a heaping dose of Ken Paxton. I told them I'd throw that back in their face, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Suck it fools!
