Been too busy to post, but I have enjoyed the back and forth when I get the chance to catch up. You guys have really set this up to be fun to watch in the next couple of weeks. Might not necessarily be for the best in all cases, but it will be entertaining.

I think we learned back in the Second World War that when we failed to stand up to an aggressor in Europe—that comes back to haunt us. We need to strengthen Ukraine. We need to strengthen our NATO allies as they stand up to Russian aggression, so we don’t have to. In some ways, I see this as a cost-saving measure. If we can stop this aggression, if we can stop Vladimir Putin in Ukraine, then we’re not going to have to stop him elsewhere.

The above is a quote from a politician on the Ukraine situation. It's definitely not from TJ. ;) Who is the quote from? Do you agree with it or not?

Whoops. But Stoney doesn’t care about transgenders shooting up kids and Hindus. It is a MAGA problem, not people who need mental help like Talaricky.

Paporakis also sent the coworker an eight-page document in which he used racial slurs to describe non-white people and outlined a plot to kill as many of them as possible, according to prosecutors. He also described himself as a white supremacist and a neo Nazi who fantasized about mass murder.

Police arrested Paporakis later that day near his home in Palatine, which is located about 40 miles (64.37 kilometers) northeast of the temple. Detectives who searched his home found an AR-style rifle without a serial number, loaded magazines and “hundreds of rounds” of ammunition, a gas canister labeled with a slur referring to South Asians, a tactical vest and a patch depicting Nazi symbolism, authorities say.

The hiding hole of liberals when they have no intelligent argument, claims of racism.

The three forward thinking of racial harmony and togetherness;
1. Athletics, even in high school in Boston, I had minorities on mt teams.
2. Law Enforcement, Instructors at the NJSP Academy were minorities.
3. Active Service. I never was in any Service. Deferred from the Draft.

Like Meatloaf sang; " Two out of three, ain't bad !"
Then why post about three black Americans that received special treatment to get into law school as opposed to the blonde press secretary. Especially when the three are extremely intelligent. Archie Bunker didn't realize he was a racist either.

“SAT/ACT type test”. lmao

Really selling it Big Swill!
Some decent physical requirements and very little academic. That tracks.
NJSP now require a College Degree, or long work history.

The old running requirements you would like. To Start; Run about an hour Mon - Fri, no stopping.
To graduate; Run in platoon formation, in jump boots, in step. 5 Miles in 35 minutes, REQUIRED.

After consent decree; Sneaks, gym clothes, in a group, 5 miles in 40 minutes. Carrying water bottle.

Seton Hall University taught 9 credit hours in College courses, Soc, Psych, Crim Justice. I transferred the 9 hours to Syracuse and received my BA.

So you admit that these 3 received "special treatment" , which is not only un-American, but possibly injurious to those they represent !

Why do you believe special treatment, solely because they are black? They are all very smart, were excellent students with high grades. Yet you can't get past the skin color. Hence my characterization.

I am not going to link any sources but it seems this is the general outline of what happened in Oregon yesterday. NBC has officially released the shooter's name and various publications have released the armed citizen's name who shot him dead.

1) 16 yr old resident who attended this school in the special ed program. He allegedly threw his shotgun over a fence and then jumped it to get onto school grounds.
2) a passerby, with children at the school, noticed and stoped his car to follow him.
3) the 16 yr old shot the locks off a back door entered and headed toward the special education room. When he got there he opened fire killing a teacher and several children.
4) the armed citizen got there and shot him dead.

Apparently facebook wasn't taken down immediately so there is a lot out there. Three things that probably are reasonably true: a) he was in the special ed program and had to participate remotely during covid and his mother is on facebook saying she is glad he is going back to school when remote learning ended so professionals can deal with him (to that effect), b) she bought him the shotgun in August around his birthday, 3) there is a picture of him in all black from Facebook in September looking like a troubled, loner teenager (my words).

I am so sad for those who lost family to this tragedy. My wife and I volunteer to watch preschool children at our church so their moms can have 2 1/2 hours twice a month to socialize with other adult women. I just can't imagine any of our preschoolers murdered by something like this.

The Dems are already saying the solution is gun control and it had to pain the far left governor of Oregon to have to praise the citizen who intervened and saved lives because he had a concealed weapons permit. The solution is not gun control per se it is getting our country out of the insanity we are in. Texas senator Talarico, Michigan hopeful Sayed, etc are bad for governance. The R's need to pull it off this election and get momentum for 2028. If the Dems get control it is Biden 2.0 on steroids.

ps. D Train, I don't disagree the R's need to reinvent their message and candidates for 2028 but Trump will no longer be your issue. Even J D Vance is a talented guy. Lets go America in 2028 (and 2026).

I hate JD Vance. He's a populist caricature who hates the free market for all but tech companies (I agree with him on the tech companies, but also favor the market for everyone else). I also think he's socially awkward, but in all seriousness that isn't disqualifying, it just hurts him electorally. I also think he's willing to traffic in indecency to score political points, see his whole act on Haitians and pets.

But I'd likely vote for almost any other R other than him, DJT Jr., or Tucker Carlson. So keep that in mind.

On the school shootings, neither political team is responsible, and I find it silly many play that game. Sadly, I think much of it relates to the extreme attention and images dating back to Columbine. We seem to be more on the downhill side of school shootings than we've been in awhile, which is good.

Ok. I think theworld is much worse off with losers like Talarico. I don't think anyone remembers Columbine, it is sad. Trump tried a lot of good legislation and the combined "deep state" blocked it. I just hope America lasts, it is trending toward becoming a client state of China. Are you optimistic with your left wing Dems taking office?

I’ll answer for you since you’re full of ****.

NJSP does not require a degree. Try to count pills in NJ without a Doctorate.

America is not trending towards being a client state of China. That is so belligerently insane, it's hard to take anything you say seriously. I note that many of the otherwise decent Rs who have just prostrated themselves for Trump use "catastrophism" as the excuse for it. I guess you have to do something.

As for Columbine, I think for those who have followed the school shootings (and school shooters follow school shootings), it's pretty well established that Columbine changed everything. Heck, for quite some time, a lot of these shooters acknowledged being inspired by it (the pictures of the Columbine killers were in many ways inspirational to certain types of sick minds). The further we get away from Columbine, the better. I actually think the school shootings have dropped some in recent years.

Here's the AI take on Columbine.

The "Columbine Effect"
Sociologists and criminologists use the term Columbine effect to describe how the 1999 attack fundamentally transformed the landscape of mass violence. The massacre essentially served as a blueprint: [1]
  • Copycat Inspiration: The two Columbine shooters left behind a massive digital and written footprint that has been studied, romanticized, and emulated by future attackers. [1]
  • Direct Links: Research has directly linked the Columbine massacre to at least 50 other mass shootings where the perpetrators openly identified the Columbine shooters as heroes, martyrs, or primary influences for their own methods. Notable tragedies influenced by Columbine include the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting and the 2008 Northern Illinois University attack. [1, 2, 3, 4]
