Do you think that's actually why Bolsonaro is in jail? (He attempted something of a coup after losing to Lula, who in bemusing fashion had been imprisoned by Bolsonaro.)

How are you folks such suckers that you think the far right wing Twitter takes on USAid and South American elections are accurate? You are citing a story below the USAid spending in Brazil went up in 2019 when Bolsonaro was in power. Who was the President from 2019-early 2021?

The truth is, South America has moved right because the left is generally not very good at solving problems, and so voters down there are probably not impressed by it. The issue is that the populist right hasn't been very good at solving problems either (with some exceptions, as populist right wing parties tend to be better on some matters ala crime). Of course, some of the South American right wing governments aren't populists (Milei in Argentina is basically a libertarian nationalist, Chile has mostly been governed by a pretty reasonable right wing, and so on). That said, USAid or no USAid, the right-leaning governments will have to govern effectively to stay in power, so at some point the South American left will have a resurgence that has nothing to do with USAid.

I wish the best for our South American neighbors. I suspect their right wing governments will be better than the left wing ones, but that ultimately the death of USAid won't save them if the public finds their own governance lacking.

My problem when discussing election fraud and voter suppression (one an obsession of the right and the other the left) isn't that they've never happened but in the grand scheme, they are almost irrelevant. Yeah, I suspect that, out of 165M or so votes in 2024, we had a few thousand votes cast that shouldn't have been. And that wasn't enough to matter in a single state. The same goes for voter suppression, there are handfuls of voters here and there who run into some obstacle that causes them to miss an election/not vote/whatever. But it's very limited.

The system is generally well run and fair. There are lots of fraud checks because we largely require a separate voter registration (there are state exceptions to this, a few allow "day of" registration). I do think universal voter ID is a positive because it would reduce the limited chance of fraud even further, and increase confidence in the system. But it wouldn't change much at all in terms of the actual vote totals, which reflect the popular will in that election.

Yes. The “establishment” bootlickers complain about MAGA while the sellouts they love helped create the problems the US has with massive fraud, illegal immigration and giving the commies in the US a giant foothold. A great example is 43, who essentially said we needed to fight the war over there so it doesn’t come to the US, yet they brought in a bunch of Afghani’s and other ME “asylum seekers” to the US who have never been interested in becoming part of the American dream. Bush is a loser as are his fellow establishment mouth breathers. We’ve held our noses voting for these cons for decades. They can return the favor. What they are actually doing is trying to undermine the Republican vote just so they can say “See? We told you so about MAGA!” Total losers.

I'd never, ever, under any circumstances take instructions from the kind of political leaders you want to govern the country, and the number of people thinking like me is growing rapidly. The "Communists" you are now complaining about never existed when the "establishment" (which hasn't been the establishment for a decade plus now) was running the show, because their oxygen can only be given by the fringe right wing dominating the GOP (because the "Communists" would always lose to normal Republicans).

People like yourself need to feel the pain of your own awful decisions politically. It's coming. And it's not going to stop until reason prevails on the right. We'll see when that happens.

You are getting exactly what you deserve.

That is an outrage! Who was the U.S. President in 2018?

The problem is that in progressive areas like Cambridge, people have been conditioned to believe that men using women’s spaces is their right. Stopping men from using women’s spaces is bad RW behavior, so we must give people the benefit of the doubt.

This is the obvious result that more conservative people have been talking about. Predatory men will take advantage of the new access. This is exactly what people said would happen, and you’re deflecting by asking who was President 8 years ago. You know that had nothing to do with it. The new “anyone should be able to access any space” is what leads to stuff like this.

I wonder where the establishment stood on this. Anything other than maybe firing off a letter? The usual committee grandstanding with nothing actually getting done?

You would believe any BS coming from the Administration which has done nothing but lie 100% of the time. They went after Roman Catholics also. LOL

Common sense, protect women and girls rant. Only cucks call it transphobia.

It’s funny because leftists say this stuff doesn’t happen. Then when it happens, they get upset that people notice and call them names.
The post had to do with USAID and Brazil. LOL You are not too obsessed with trans.

You have 54.5k posts rambling about exaggerated nonsense.. and you’re asking someone else to post less.
My admonition to a poster with 49,000 posts was to assist increase his legal practice $'s, as such it was a helping hand for his family successes.

Your exaggerating nonsense is about jogging, hardly riveting commentary...

As I have for years asked you to find me a post/story that I have posted that you
have doubts to authentic and never a peep from you.

Even those pundits that cried "no illegal votes were cast" are now accepting the facts USA Countrywide, from none to a few thousand.

When Judicial Watch is successful opening voting rolls countrywide, voter fraud will be in the hundreds of thousands.

Alright, let's take these point by point from someone who actually wants to get this stuff right versus the Seth Keshel Special of lying to you.

1. The Texas electorate is not 5 points to the right of 2016 or 8 points to the right of 2020. He's talking about the 2024 result of Trump plus 14% here. That's 5% better than 2016 (9% Trump margin) and 8% to the right of 2020 (6% Trump margin). What is actually under discussion is that Texas voted 12% to the right of the country in 2016, 10-11% to the right of the country in 2020, and 12%-13% to the right of the country in 2024.

So if the country is D+9 and Texas is 12% to the right of that, generic Rs would win by roughly 3% here. That ain't great, and the national mood explains Texas' competitiveness.

2. Yes, Latino voting numbers rapidly increasing. That's bad for Rs. Trump won them narrowly in 2024, but he won the state by 14% (much more comfortably). In 2026, most polls have Talarico beating Paxton by more than 20% among Latinos. Rs would want less Latinos in this election. That said, if Republicans can come close to breaking even among Latinos, they basically have no chance of ever losing Texas.

3. El Paso is about 2-2.5% of the statewide vote. The margin gain if Talarico drops 1/3 of Beto's winning total is just over 30K votes. Well over 10M votes should be expected in this race. Not a big deal. Also Beto is from El Paso, which Sethie didn't mention.

4. Not sure what he means by "red county turnout increase," but I'd expect rural turnout in Texas (the "really red" counties) to look somewhat similar to a typical midterm.

5. Who cares? Talarico thinks Paxton would give him great quotes to use in ads if they debated, because Paxton is a moron who doesn't seem to understand a bunch of issues. I also think Talarico's team thinks the race is 2-4% in his favor (not 6%), though I doubt they will every publicly discuss it.

6. Yes, the "normie GOP" is upset that Paxton beat Cornyn. As are a lot of Trump voters disconnected from primaries entirely, see the NYT focus group on Trump voters about this race. The fringe won the primary, and it's a real problem for the center right and independent normies.

7. It is entirely unclear who would benefit from marginal voter turnout in Talarico/Paxton. But there's a big Paxton fear - marginal voters who supported Trump not showing and marginal voters who intentionally sat out 2024 to not vote for Kamala coming out to support Dems in 2026. This happened BIGLY in Hispanic areas in the VA/NJ 2025 gubernatorial races, and was a major contributor to massive swings in Hispanic precincts.

So there you have reality. Paxton needs to pray harder to win, that or have the national popular vote be more like 5-6% in favor of Dems (I think Paxton wins in that case).

Nah. Very little fraud exists, according to the supposed former Reagan conservative turned Dummycrat.

I think this is immigration fraud (not financial fraud). Lots of immigration claims are fraudulent. The overwhelming majority of asylum cases, for example, are dubious.

I think you are getting confused about the reasons for the debt/deficits (not fraud or even waste) and completely different matters.

Here is my response, the second time around, so you can understand the initial post.

The point was that the Federal Government was "ESTIMATING" crime stats for illegal immigrants to huge numbers that were obviously incorrect. So that even today's FBI is forecasting rather than reporting. A subtle issue that you and Drano could not understand.

Just like when Drano was claiming the Comey era FBI crime stats that were ACTUALLY ESTIMATES, with at least 40 % of ALL Police Depts in the USA NOT reporting their criminal stats, were true and complete.

We've never once argued about "Comey era crime statistics." Comey was fired in May 2017.

The debate about crime statistics started in late 2023, and the statistics you didn't like were/are the ones from recent years 2023-25. You were fine with the high crime numbers from the early 2020s, you just didn't like they started dropping at the time I pointed out they were dropping.

And of course it turns out I was 100% correct and you had no idea what you were talking about.

Btw, something like 95% of law enforcement reporting agencies now fully report to the FBI. No one is estimating anything.

Complete lies. Closings had nothing to do with regulatory scheme of California. The decision was a business call made by the refiners solely. Read real news not RW crap.

You can’t honestly believe regulation had nothing to do with those decisions.
