I couldn't care less if he addresses it. I'm more concerned about illegals, H1B visas, beating the hell out of any foreign power in the Americas, and turning Cuba like Venezuela. I do think he is a dip about Iran. He should be hitting them harder than ever right now and getting the other Arab neighbors with troops on the ground. We can't do that en masse.

Correct, it is a big ask. I just think the biggest health emergency/gov't shutdown in our lifetime deserves transparency. I would assume he has seen more data than any of us. It would help stop the endless misinformation on the topic, and a lot of speculation.
#2 is what I believe has held back the transparency. Again, I understand it. But man, this feels like THE topic where he could set aside ego and share important information not only with the citizens that voted him in, but people around the world. He does have the built in excuse that most people should know Fauci was not being honest with him. If it comes out later that OWS resulted in the death of thousands of people, and Trump is dead, his legacy is shot and he won’t be around to defend it.
Having people like Carson speak definitively about the vaccine’s harm doesn’t help anyone. What are people supposed to do with that information?

I am not sure 1000 deaths will kill his legacy. It was a worldwide pandemic and Dtrain has posted some compelling arguments it saved a ton of lives in the older, more frail community. I believe this to be a debate for when we have a clearer picture several years from now.

Dtrain and I seem to have a similar viewpoint on the vaccine. Helped some older people, by at least making them more comfortable. I tend to believe that it gave false confidence to some, and they ended up dying anyway when finally exposed. I know some people that locked down hard until the vaccine, and then got really sick when they finally got exposed.
Totally unnecessary for most. Pretty triggering topic for me. My son was born April 2020 so we had to deal with a lot of BS during the newborn and toddler years.
One of my best friends through work had COPD stage 4. I had hired his son(who is in a wheelchair) to be my right hand man in my organization. He turned out to be an absolute rockstar. He always wanted his kid to find a nice girl and have a family. Of course this is no easy task for a quad. Anyhow his son, Kevin finally finds a girl and gets married in Sept of Covid. During the speeches, I was sitting with his dad watching. When it was his turn, he went up and delivered the best speech I had ever seen him give. Everyone was crying. As it turns out, the bridesmaid that spoke before him that handed him the mic, had covid. He died two weeks later. Just an absolute tragedy.
Covid is a hard topic for many people.
I'm not against star actors, particularly if they stay non political. Was Glen Powell's biggest role in Top Gun Maverick? And was Michelle Yeoh's top role (among several) in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? I don't hear either of them quoted constantly by the media on politics.
The thing about movies is we get attached to certain actors/actresses and then they mouth off on politics and the media covers it as news.
My second point was that paying actors large salaries to do what other actors can do for much less is making much less sense in 2026. A third point, which is sadder, is that AI could have done the same thing as the Mandalorin (helmut, no personality) for much less. We are probably seeing the end of an era in LA.
LA is expensive. Lots of other places films are being made and much more cheaply. Georgia is one place getting more attention.
