This doesn’t go over well with Hispanics. Most are faithful Catholics.

Have you ever looked at polling of Hispanics on abortion?

They are basically similar to the general population on the issue.

Hispanic voters are the most economically driven voter group in the US (demographically). Social issues matter less, which makes a lot of sense when many of them either themselves or a generation prior came to the US for economic reasons.

You really should begin to research your conclusions; like Hispanic voting for Trump.

What are you talking about? Trump did great among Hispanics in 2024, that’s the point. Republicans did terribly in the same Hispanic heavy precincts where there have been elections in 2025 and 2026.

If Texas Rs lose a lot of ground among Hispanics from Trump 2024 in 2026 … they cannot also lose it in the burbs. Expect both to happen, and Paxton will have major issues.

CBS just fired some long-time 60 minutes personalities. The attached article says it is because of disagreements with Bari Weiss, who took over CBS news in October 2025 after Paramount became the owner. I have followed her a bit since she was run out of the NY Times because she was not liberal enough. My sense is she actually attended journalism classes and is not a fan of biased reporting.

Well, not good for 60 minutes, the bastion of biased reporting. I have no idea where this goes or what it means but it is interesting that someone is trying to reign in the mainstream media.

However, she is not going to be a friend of conservatives or liberals, which may ultimately be her undoing in the click driven social media future. Kinda depends on what her mandate is from Paramount.

This dude scours twitter daily thinking about nothing but other men he’s obsessed with. Not gay at all.
Sorry loser XC runner. Scouring X for what? I’m a huge World Cup fan and Turkey is training nearby - they have real athletes, don’t you know. Since I’ll be attending more than a handful of games, a great local opportunity to see some real athletes.

As for you, you pathetic little “man”, it’s been established that you hate Jews and with the above post it is apparent that you hate gays too. You definitely LOVE the Senate candidate in Maine who represents the NAZI party. My guess is you are getting ready to go march through Skokie.

What fantasies will the QAnon LARPer dream up next?

Pointing out that you’re likely gay because you think about me constantly doesn’t mean I hate gays. Just like pointing out AIPAC purchased a house seat doesn’t mean I hate Jews.

This super villain character you’ve created for me is getting pretty intense though. Anything you need to fill that void.

I don't know if Talarico is a good candidate right now, but I know he's better than Jasmine Crockett because he's not going to force centrist voters to decide between the lesser of two evils (character-wise).

My wife has voted overwhelmingly R since she began voting (I believe she first voted for GWB at age 18). She has no particular fondness for Talarico (or negativity), but she does know what Paxton is about. I told her that Paxton was honing in on Talarico being a pansy and he was going with the "Low T Talarico" line of attack. Her disgust level at that strategy was comical.

Again, the GOP in Texas isn't unassailable as it was 15 years ago. Demographic change has made it less "southern" and more diverse. Hispanics have heavily turned against Trump in elections starting in 2025, and the GOP in Texas has been bolstered by strong Hispanic voting numbers relative to elsewhere. It can still win even with a poor performance among Hispanics, BUT IT CANNOT WIN LOSING HISPANICS AND SUBURBAN WOMEN.

Ken Paxton is a candidate made in a lab to lose Hispanics and suburban women. Maybe the pansy line of attack will work with Hispanic voters (I don't think so because I think they are voting on economics more than other groups), but it will be a disaster among the suburban centrist/moderate R women. Who is the audience for these ads? Republican partisans? Trump? I don't get it.
I am guessing there is more to learn on Talarico. Beating JC was a layup.

A quick search gave me this accusation from a fellow Dem:

Former U.S. Rep. Colin Allred ripped state Rep. James Talarico for allegedly calling him a "mediocre Black man" and urged voters to support U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Talarico's opponent in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.

OMG, he’s going on vacation after losing his race? How horrible. Pretty sure he is the only politician that named names.

Why would he spend more time exposing people that nothing will happen to? You expect more from him than the entire DOJ.

But hey, the current admin showed us some empty binders in a photo stunt!

I thought you had joined the club that believes Epstein only trafficked girls for himself…

Their boogie man is gone but the current administration is still incompetent. Running out of people to blame.

More to learn as in "Allred is a mediocre black man"? Wow that is devastating especially when combined with the picture of him using a napkin to eat a rib.

40000 lives saved, but I should be worried about 200 Valley Fever deaths per year in the whole of the USA. Smh

When the Biden admin said fentanyl deaths were plummeting, I called BS. More and more deaths are being called “unhoused deaths”, when they are in fact overdoses.

Here in Denver, the medical examiner has to request a toxicology request. With homeless people, that rarely happens. And the medical examiner office is about half staffed.

My neighbor’s brother just died about a month ago. He was found slumped over against a door at a local strip mall. My neighbor was told they might get the toxicology report in 5 or 6 months.

All that said, shutting down the border was a huge step in the right direction. Still a very long way to go.

Old news, came up during the trial and the Judge determined that there was no perjury. That fine source for news X22 goes on to state that Reid Hoffman was a guest of Epstein at the island and that we should "connect the dots". The dots that I connect are that Trump was Epstein's "best friend" and not Hoffman, and Trump socialized with Epstein more than Hoffman, Trump and Epstein co-hosted girl parties, and shared models with their agencies. Where do the connected dots lead?

Anyone with an ounce of common sense should have long ago realized that she is a nut job that provided no real proof that anything happened.

Even if you hate Trump, people should be able to admit that. If people repeat the “Trump is a convicted rapist” nonsense, they should be ignored. That was a joke of a trial.

She obviously provided sufficient "real proof" so that two juries rendered verdicts in her favor, and that two trial Judges entered judgments in her favor, and at least two appellate courts affirmed those. Sounds like you may have a Trump issue.

She couldn’t even remember the year it apparently took place. No physical evidence. Tough to defend yourself against something when you don’t even know the date it occurred.

She’s an insane person. Judges can be biased, too.

Multiple Judges, 24 jurors, the whole world is biased against the poor man. LOL

Matt was too big at 13 for Pop Warner football, so I had him join the Traveling soccer youth team and he was the Goalie.

When the ball was on the far half of the field, he was required to give me some push-ups.
That way I could get 100 or so during the game !

As I posted about 1 - 2 years ago, I used to get my hair cut at Bergdorf's at their men's salon, in the 70's.

Like Saks, these high end shops didn't sacrifice first floor selling space for changing rooms.
These rooms were all on higher level floors, 2 - 7 in Saks building case.

Which is where this fabricated assault was to have taken place on B & G first floor.

Here’s the actual OD data.

It is delayed about 5-6 months so cause of death can be attributed. No one is making anything up or hiding bodies.

The big rise hit during Covid and peaked a couple of years ago. Deaths were down to 80K ish when Biden left, have dropped another 10K or so since Trump.
