Things are going so great this is now a climate science twitter slop thread.

Me - “ranchers are running out of water out west, it’s impacting food costs”

Group - “look at the poles, Canada temps, carbon, ocean cycles”

Me - “I’m just worried about water”

Group - “you are so obsessed with climate change and global warming”

My goodness, imagine a 40-year-old man labeling himself an influencer. Can you say mid-life crisis?

And then, everyone is unserious about water per the influencer, as the influencer notes he is going to play a sport notorious for requiring massive water consumption during a drought.

I was mocking you guys for how much you post about me or trying to get my attention. And here you are. Glad to keep this thread interesting because you guys are a boring bunch.

You have been one of the only people willing to have a reasonable discussion, along with AZ.
My wife doesn't think I'm reasonable.

Colorado is running at 14 MAF vs 15ish at "normal" levels, and 16ish at rainy levels. That is still a big avalanche of water. 70-80% goes to agriculture because it always has....

Colorado basin is ideal for agriculture if there are massive amounts of cheap, available water but not so today, plus our govts have promised 20-25% of the water rights to tribal communities. Day of reckoning is coming and govt solution will be to keep the status quo and keep using 4-5 MAF to grow alfalfa in the desert. It will keep beef prices lower but not worthy of that PHD you have in water management.

ps. I thjnk those Californians export a bunch of the alfalfa to foreign nations. Nothing like subsidizing beef prices overseas.
