It shows a lot of chutzpah to not only wear your coaches number but a heisman trophy winner's number. Reminds me of Marlon Lucky wearing 20 for a couple of years and he ended up not liking the comparisons between he and Rogers and switched his number to 5.

It Could have been some of that, too but I could have sworn he took number 20 because he was a big Barry Sanders fan and he claimed he changed to number 5 because he wasn’t putting up the Barry Sanders type numbers and felt it was a kind of disgrace to B Sanders if he wore it. But maybe I remember wrong.
