Long-time stalker, couldn't decide where to jump in so here goes...

1) Have perused many boards through the years, very impressed with this one. Pretty rational, and really appreciate that there's little over-the-top criticism of the players. Have always felt that people who need to go "rip city" should leave it to the coaches, admin, refs...they're all big boys and are all getting paid.

2) The pendulum of emotions from game to game and actually within game...the high to low, positivity to negativity, are highly entertaining.

3) The varying opinions on the length of the rebuild are interesting. I think there's a difference between recently bad, historically bad, and historically bad with multiple embarrassments. Unfortunately, our case being the latter, we should understand that it tacks a few more years on to the build. I'm not an alum, but as a lifelong "Jersey guy" have always taken great pride in the state university. The losing is hard, but the other baggage really stings.

4) This year's team is SO MUCH improved, but the record may not reflect it due to the strength of the conference, youth and inexperience. The talent 1-10 is better, the basketball IQ is higher, the passing/sharing/movement of the ball...all makes for a better watch. Another year of development for all the guys, plus Paul and Jacob and another sign...should have us in much better position to really compete.

5) To the posters of my generation...the long suffering, passionate, supportive, RU faithful who have invested so much...don't blame you for feeling a little shortchanged. But hang in there, because in the end, positivity trumps negativity and always seems like a better option.

Peace

Welcome. Good post, but I don't think there is anyone on this year's team currently more talented than Corey Sanders was last year. Some of the young guys may end up better, but they are not there now.

This years team is laden with Freshmen that are stepping up nicely
Mathis, Johnson, Harper Jr, McConnell...4 recruits contributing nicely IMO

I am pretty ancient myself(69)...ive been here under 3 different names since this board started
(and had the word:flushed: EXIT:flushed: in the name)
