He’s not being executed, he’s spy rigging. Whoever is flying was previously Afghan Air Force who switched side after the fall. Pretty common.
In one I saw earlier he was waving at people.Could've fooled me. I even looked at this picture first.

When we first got there they would fight during the day and go home at night only to come back the next day and fight.
