That is pretty awful! Looks like that weird crap they rolled out a few years ago for baseball. Don’t like the color or the font of number and writing.

You have nothing to worry about. Our branding almost always dictates we have “Mississippi” wherever “State” is on uniforms with the exception of the mstate logo.
Yea, I know the basketball and baseball we have the throwback State on them but this is a larger market and we still struggle with the ID of being confused with other states such as Missouri and Michigan.
Color scheme may be coming. Name logo will not look like that.
Hate the numerals too.
Adidas is doing another throw back for A&M this year that look pretty sweet

It commemorates their 1994 team who played the year that a Corp cadet had sex with a female for the first time in school history.
All jokes aside. I wish they would do one for us that featured the old Nike “MISS STATE” across the chest. They could even hook us up with a interlocking logo reminiscent of our old one for a game.
And Cohen, for God’s sake, please get “HAIL STATE” off our south end zone and put ”BULLDOGS” back where it belongs. Get that Scott Stricklin out of here.

Is that giant stripe on the front suppose to be a number ? If it is, how big are the numbers on the back ?
It looks like a confused Auburn jersey that our name and colors were accidentally printed on it. Bleh.
I might tweak the font, but I like the color combo and "State".
I may have said this before, but I want us to stake our claim to the term State and use it often. It's short, easier to say, and the more we do, the more people will instantly know what Hail State means.
I also don't get the hate for anything new the university tries. Damn the rampant herd mentality.

I agree. Market the STATE and HailState more. Tweak this jersey some, but like the concept. Miss State or Mississippi State is just alot. Would love STATE and HAILSTATE being synonymous with our school nationally.
Well our Basketball teams have jerseys that just say STATE across the front.
I personally like these. In this form they don’t look the best but on some players in pads I think they’ll surprisingly look very very good. With the matte maroon helmets and gray stripe. These will look pretty sick.

I wonder how long it took to design the font/stylization/design of the term "STATE" on the front of that jersey. Two seconds?

This is like the strategy that my company's management team uses, isn't it? You know, roll some idea that is utterly brain-dead out there as if it's going to happen and then, after the inevitable shitstorm occurs, retract it and then roll out something that is only half brain-dead and everybody is so relieved that the first idea got shitcanned that they live with the nearly-as-bad re-do peaceably. Brilliant.
expecting this to happen. Agree. I do know friends I have in other states outside of SEC southeast area confuse Ole Miss with MSU. Marketing STATE more, and HAILSTATE might help us. Some confuse the schools but they know Ole Miss and HAILSTATE as different schools.

This is 100% right. I’m tired of being confused (daily) with OM. A couple of months ago I had a business meeting with a potential client (a U of Minn. alum and season ticket holder). We started talking about the Dawgs and our season/schedule when he interrupted me to ask... “Wait... you guys have had a pretty rough past, right?” I thought he was talking about our years of suckage and said, “Yeah we have had some rough years on the field.” He quickly let me know that he was talking about the racism and a 30 for 30 documentary he saw. I had to instantly interrupt him and let him know he was referring to the other school in our state and NOT Mississippi State Univ.
I think this is a smart move. Push STATE and Hail State down everyone’s throats until people can’t 17ing stand it. Don’t let anyone get us confused w/ OM and their nationwide racist reputation.
In TX, a few Tex fans that remotely keep up with SEC, will hear the announcers on highlights say "HAILSTATE" nation, etc.... and from that I have had a few give me the "HAILSTATE" as a good luck for our games. I never told them that phrase. They hear it on highlights and games. So using STATE and HAILSTATE seems to distinguish us from other small colleges(bears) in our state.
