The numbers I’m hearing from my West stadium brethren is way more than a 50% seat fee increase. I’ve heard as much as 4X as much but nobody knows for sure yet. 🤷‍♂️
I hope so. Can’t wait for the retired Husker crowd to have complete melt downs. This would all be way more beneficial in NIL or profit sharing

I know folks want to throw money at players for w's but over time construction inflation doesn't tarry.
the great thing about Nebraska is you probably get 2 times the construction per dollar then the big 10 teams on the coast.
plus big screen tv's at home seem alot more pleasant then someone having their knee in your back..so it's high time they address it.
it's a balance that requires wisdom..

We’re in the West Club section. Am I correct in the idea that will be completely torn down/renovated (which means all those people in the West stadium will not have tickets for 1 year?)

I don't think club seating will be affected. But wouldn't bet the farm on it. Just think the lower bowl affected. But DISPLACED for 27 would only be south stadium

Small case?

NIL spending directly correlates with team success

everything else - literally - is meaningless
Agreed. What I don't understand is that prior to NIL you could see why a kid wouldn't want to come to Lincoln if they had an opportunity to play for Saban at Alabama or Smart at Georgia or LSU. The SEC was obviously the premier destination because of the weather and the under the table shenaningans they seemingly always got away with. Nebraska was at a clear disadvantage.

Now that advantage the SEC had is gone because obviously a 4 or 5 star player isn't going to ride the bench at those schools when they could get paid elsewhere and play right away. In theory for a school like Nebraska with tons of money this should have rebalanced the landscape for us yet somehow for us that has not been shown to be the case. Their should be no reason we are not top 10 in the country in NIL expenditure especially when we have 600 million to spend on a stadium renovation.

I for one think it’s hilarious the new screen will block Jon Brunings view of the stadium from his little cushy Lied Place offices. You hate to see the clown that ran interference for the worst coach (Frost) and worst AD (drunk *** Moos) in program history.

If we were a top 5 team, with NFL talent nobody would care about the seating, and if they did they would sell their tickets and make a profit and some younger, healthier fans could get to see some games, while making more noise and making the stadium louder. This construction project is a purely political move to get some attention and distract from the bottom line, which is we are a terrible program with no hope for the future. I get that people are fatter today, but people also care more about comfort because the games are boring or worse. People are staying home because the product is trash. It is so backwards to build a better stadium to make a better football team...so stupid, and just another data point supporting the idea that Nebraska football is *** backwards.

Does it matter that NU would make another $30M a year when it spends over $100M on a lousy coach? I'm not being cynical - I'm saying more revenue to Nebraska does not excite me when it is so poorly spent. Just look at our last 3 coaches and the buyouts attached. "Oh, but now the school will bring in more revenue!"

How is this supposed to excite fans when the football program has turned so many failures into millionaires. What happened to all the B1G money we got from joining the Big 10? Are we better? Is this more fun? Shouldn't we have been excited about all that new money and new B1G TV contract?

Good grief - start dealing with the problem instead of pouring gasoline on it hoping it will put out the fire.

I predict the sellout streak will end this year. At the very least boosters may have to purchase 25% of the seating to keep it going.

Nebraska fans are loyal to a fault. We love our Huskers and will always show up to support all our sports.
Not me. I just think that encourages more of the same. I'll be at some of the baseball and basketball games though. Somewhere in the morass of UNL leadership they're going to have to come to a realization that this **** is unacceptable.

The actual scanned tickets the last few seasons has been in the low 70,000s with some dropping down to 60k, actual butts in seats and not businesses buying up extra tickets.

The 70,353 average over seven games in 2025 was 2,971 fewer scanned tickets per game than the 2024 season but higher than the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Maybe so but the tickets were sold. I looked today. You can buy season tickets. Only place available is south and north stadium. Endzones which are basically level entry. All of them are in the nose bleed section. I tried to count them and came up with about 300 per NU ticket office. Not bad

And those will be bought up by businesses and organizations hosting meetings and social gatherings on game weekends.

yikes.. and they want to dump .6 billion into this?

I know some of you will argue that investing in the stadium/fan experience will somehow improve the record of late, but I reject such type of hypothesis.. winning produces fans.. not stadium projects and fan 'experiences'..

How much do we 'make' on an average home game?

is it around 2 million?

times x 6-7 home games a year = 12 to 14 million a year

So we want to invest 600 million into an asset that currently returns say 14 million a year?

Curious what they expect that to return annually..

If it were my money and I just bought treasuries with all 600 million, it would produce 24 million per year, at 4%

Do we really think this investment will add even a measly 4% to our bottom line? i.e. we would have to expect the 12 million number to triple, to 36 million in intake, for this project to even come close to competing with a simple treasury bill investment.

This is why it's a scam. Nobody in their right mind can actually justify spending this much money.. and it's lined with millions in bribes and kickbacks.

I didn’t think it was already at 25% or more. I thought it was more around 10 or 15%.

I guess we will see. I’m not sure what exactly will make the levees of the Big Red finally break.
That's just season tickets, every home game had available individual tickets up till the week of the game last year, Iowa and USC weren't sold out when I was at the Northwestern game.

Fans have always been able to get single season tickets for face value.
