Looks like scaffolding in top right of pic
Wonder what’s going on there
good eye.. workers up top putting up rails on the outside.. probably OSHA stuff while they work up there on other things like signage on the sides.

As for teh look.. not ideal.. but most games will be at night and there are likely a lot of lighting elements to it. Probably fine...

The signs are fine. The smaller ones on the side have been up for months. It's still The RAC.

Drove past today … there are Jersey Mike’s signs on all 4 sides (they were starting the installation of the sign on the Hospital Road side). The side facing the APC deck is already in place and mirrors the sign facing the green lot. All 4 sides covered.

Compromise: keep the new big Jersey Mike's logo, but install old school neon inside the letters, that way it looks memorable at night.

Also, use a big Rutgers R in neon nearby.

Stay tuned for Jersey Mike's new sub on trapezoidally shapped rolls.
Interesting indeed. Trapezoidal rolls may be a solution for the monsters who remove the fluffy middle of the roll in order to more easily fit inside more salted meats thereby throwing off the delicate optimized balance of the SMRR (salted meat to roll ratio).

I never understood people who scooped out the bread and am not a fan of subs/hoagies with a very high meat to bread ratio - I like my subs "balanced" (which is why I like Tastee Subs so much).

Tastee is the best and Jersey Mike's is the worst. Don't get how Jersey Mike's became so popular - especially in NJ! They are way overpriced and their bread is generic - you can close your eyes, go to any deli in NJ (at least central or north Jersey) and can easily get a better sub then JM's!

SIAP, but I still wish it were called Jersey Mike's RAC, but it's at least nice to see a new sign up...

Under the JM logo should read: ā€Where Rutgers Eats Your Lunchā€

I just think that is laughably not creative.

ā€œHow about…just spitballing here…how about the Jersey Mike’s logo with the word ā€˜ARENAā€ after it in a plain font?ā€

ā€œWhat if ARENA was in all caps?ā€

ā€œAnd white!ā€

ā€œBRILLIANT!ā€

I actually hit JM the other day. I liked the roast beef Mikes way but it was $11.68 for regular sub only. Not a value was it

When it was sold at the mobile kiosk stand by a local franchisee (found out he lived in my neighborhood) it was the best deal at the Stadium: 1/2 sub, drink, bag of chips for $9.

Once they moved it inside as a regular concession...šŸ‘Ž

Their hook is the drenching of oil and vinegar. They go all in.

Little Teddy's in New Brunswick always had the best subs. Bummer with being forced to move and the fire. Just being Nostalgic.

BTW: A whole sub from Tastee and a Giant from JM are same cost about $16.00. I prefer the larger roll and the JM's Way better. I used to go to the original one in Pt. Pleasant on my way to IBSP and Ocean Beach.

Subway subs are now $12.00 for footlong which used to $5.00. Yikes...

Believe it or not when I travel for business. A lot of businesses I visit say they wish they had a Jersey Mike's near them when wr are looking to cater sandwiches for a lunch meeting.

Back to the JM signs. I think they look fine as long as the checks clear. After all they purchased the naming rights...

Still cringe at any change to the RAC to make it nice. It’s perfect for basketball with great sounds and sight lines. More bathrooms would be a plus. I’m also firmly in the so ugly it’s beautiful school.

Jersey Mikes subs are fine. Cheesesteak is quite good.
Soft spot for Subway as Springbreak in 82, 83, and 84 it was my meal for the day in Fort Lauderdale and the first time I tried it

It’ll ALWAYS be ā€œTHE RAC.ā€ Period. Even B1G announcers still call it that and have joked about not being able to say otherwise.

Yup. Only Corso, Steven and Patrick have to call in Jersey Mike's. To the rest of the free world, it's the RAC.
