Do you need your actual vaccination card or is a photo of it on your iPhone acceptable ?

That's a good question on being able to put photo on phone; if you get any clarification - please post.

I have gone to a few Monmouth games and need the actual card. My guess it will be the same. I guess they aren’t looking if you are overdue for the booster or not? This is just so depressing but at this point I will do anything to get back in the RAC.

first of all they are just hired workers, everyday people, they have no say on when its appropriate to get boosters

the definition of fully vaccinated has not changed

I’ve had both Pfizer vaccine’s and the booster and I have a photo on my iPhone to prove it. I’m a season ticket holder for football and basketball and I use the photo from the actual ticket to get in for both. Seems reasonable to allow the vaccine photo for the same purpose.
I’ll go to the game next Thursday with card in pocket, show the photo and if that doesn’t work, I’ll show the card. Not a big deal but I don’t want to loose that card. Just thought it makes sense for the photo.

Make a copy of your card. My original is in my desk drawer. The copy is in my car. I also have a picture on my phone.

I bought a plastic card holder that I wear around my neck with my covid card in it. It protects the card and is always available to show when I need it. Bought a ten pack for my family on Amazon. Solution

Yeah but we’re staying out of the hospital and the morgue. Get yourself inoculated, tough guy.

you do realize that 1-5% are hospitalized from getting covid, i read a poll about how some people think like half the people are hospitalized when they get covid

just a fyi, the fear mongering tactics we have seen for 2 years in the media and in some states do not provide reality and who is being hospitalized and who is at risk. No one is arguing that covid isnt real. It clear is and we do need to encourage vaccinations but also push treatments and life choices to build better health and take vitamins. Release unnecessary restrictions on children who are uneffected and protect those at risk and we know the ones at risk,.

That is not a constructive contribution to the thread.

whether its constructive or you or Rutgers does not want to hear it? The point is the silliness of vaccine mandate when the vaccinated are carrying and spreading. I agree with him, if they actually cared or were consistent in anything they would ban all fans. Since they arent it appears to be for show, to look good and cover their ***.

tell that to my uncle, he was vaccinated and boosted up and he passed a month or so ago. So your first statement is blatant information
Sorry for your loss first and foremost. Second, unless you’re being intentionally obtuse, surely you know your chances of ending up dead or on a ventilator are greatly greatly diminished by being inoculated. There are rare exceptions but those are the facts.

I’m not being obtuse. I am fully vaccinated (no booster), but plan on getting it. The only people I know who have died all had vaccines and boosters so that’s not me being obtuse that is me laying down a fact that every person I know that has died has had vaccine and booster. Thanks for the condolences though this virus blows. I think it’s a load of crap to say that it lowers chances when all my unvaccinated family is out living while those that did the “right thing” have all now moved on from this world

Some states reporting over 50% now, pay attn and stop going by Murphy spins

Most that report are 30-40% consistently

Mikey, my sincere condolences and prayers to you and your family.

THANK YOU for sharing, it’s important and not easy these days. The below is not directed at you, just for discussion.

Unbelievably we’ve come to a point (in America!) where It’s hard to have open conversations, share facts just as you have, and have civil debate to help people choose and make better informed decisions. I (and my large immediate and extended family) fall into the former category of choosing not to vaccinate for a wide number of reasons and have been living life as normal as possible. I, and a few others, recently had Delta and recovered relatively quickly. No one wants to get this, for sure. From the very beginning of the covid disaster my opinion has always been you can’t lock down the world. We learn and adjust. And I say this knowing full well that someone in my family, including my 94 year old mother, can contract and die from this. My biggest message to anyone I speak with about my covid experience is “WHAT EXACTLY is your plan if you get covid? Seeing how it goes and planning to go to a hospital if it gets bad (trouble breathing, clotting) is NOT a good plan. I quickly had antivirals, steroids, antibiotics, nebulizer, and upped zinc, vitamins D and D, and took aspirin. Better in 2 days (same for my wife and daughter). Thank God.

As an alum, I’ve been a FB, BB season ticket holder, donor for 22+ years, traveling to road games, bowls, etc. If it actually made any sense I wouldn’t have a problem with this vaccine restriction to attend basketball games…..but it doesn’t. Honestly, I’d happily donate and give my tix away (4 rows behind RU bench). Vaxed and unvaxed can spread covid. No debate. And any notion of “doing it to protect you(me)” is total BS. On top of the BS, I have immunity….probably more than most of those vaxed. If requiring PCR tests, all should have them….but it’s not practical and you can get infected after you’ve tested 72 hours beforehand…this is just nonsense.

How about RU actually be a leader here, and act like a leading academic institution, which says it’s inclusive. How about maybe offering RUs developed saliva test at one of the entrances for season ticket holders?

Israeli study : Natural immunity 13x more effective than vaccine induced immunity

Are you kidding us with this? None of them are reporting that over 50% of hospitalizations are vaccinated people (at least as of last week), we went through this. Why do you keep spreading misinformation and why are Richie and the mods okay with it?

I think you might be talking to an exception to the rule when talking about vaxed deaths.
As for family being unvaxed and safe, many seem to be the same.
But most vaxed people are said to have a better chance of having milder symptoms than an unvaxed person would have.
Being vaxed isn't a cure all, just a better layer of protection

In my unscientific opinion: I believe some people have a stronger immunity system than others and it might be hereditary. .
While others , even if perfectly healthy, have a lower threshold when it comes to immunity from diseases and need to protect themselves more.
