We are actually 6th in the RPI ranking that actually matters….the NFRPI (non-Fairfield RPI). And honestly, we probably would be close to that regardless even if we swept Mizzou, just due to playing 3 games against a low RPI opponent.

Where is this projection from? D1 or Baseball America? It’s nice to see us up in the 11 range instead of on the hosting bubble, I won’t lie. Makes this weekend feel extra important for a lot of teams. And if we know anything it’s that Ole Miss always plays their best baseball in pressure situations***

Whole heartedly agree. There's a zero chance in my mind that the NCAA sets a stage that could feasibly pass 6 SEC teams on to Omaha. I'm not sure why this should matter per se, but it seems like they've proven over and over again throughout the years that it does. They like to set SEC teams up against each other in the supers

No disrespect to Texas Tech, but I would take this at the moment. They have been decimated by injuries. Doesn't mean they can't beat us, but I wouldn't mind being paired with them, especially at home.

The biggest downside to #8 is we'd face Arkansas in Game 1 if we were to make it to Omaha. They aren't completely dominant, but they are the closest thing to a complete team this year.

Truthfully if you’re going to play Arkansas in Omaha, I think you’d rather play them in the early rounds rather than the championship. The odds of us beating them once and having someone else eliminate them may be better than the odds of us winning a three game series against them.

Looks pretty good to me, other than having to face (probably) Arkansas first in Omaha if we get there.

I agree, I don't really think it will make all that much difference in terms of our chances of winning the super regional whether we play at home or on the road. Of course, it's great for the fans that have season tickets or can get there to experience that big time atmosphere at home. Wish I could be there, but it may be difficult for me this year. I got to attend the 2019 super, and that was a blast.
