2019….. I’m too lazy to go look at our overall record since then but I can bet it’s not UK standards……... What would even be worse is our performance in the SEC and NCAA tournaments since the signing of that sweetheart deal Mitch gave him.
Pitino cost us a title in 97 with a coaching malpractice and more than motivation is needed, especially looking how Pitino teams struggled against us for years.
If you agree Cal won’t win another title why is firing him insane? As a lifelong UK fan and ‘81 alum, UK will lose its hard earned..and deserved.. elite status if there’s not an expectation for Final Fours and titles. Even more so when $9mm is paid out for the coach.
Losing sucks, we can agree on that. But with me, it's about effort and when the coach sees no effort on the court, you bench the player. I didn't see that effort last night with the player's or Calipari.

That poster is wrong. Saying they do not like Cal at all is completely false. No, I don't love Cal. I'm just not obsessed with everything he does or scream for him to be fired every game.

Here’s the problem. Apathy has set in. Uk bb is not what it was when the dynasty defenders ran tubby out. That type of fan is a dying breed and being replaced with participation trophy fans. We are becoming a middling SEC bb program and that has been enabled by cal, Barney and this new type of fan. It’s a lead weight for a tradition.

Yep I know lifelong fans that no longer watch or care once he knelt. He has no integrity and no understanding of the lives that were sacrificed for our freedom and therefore you always stand. I live in Indiana and no longer wear my UK gear because I’m ashamed and don’t want to be associated with someone who disrespected our country. Look forward to the day I will gladly wear it again.

What’s insane is how many of y’all sing songs think firing him is actually realistic. So threads like these are the equivalent of a toddler throwing a tantrum. This thread will now serve as a toxic breeding ground for infighting that will get reopened after every game win or lose. Eventually it will get locked because our online fanbase is emotionally incapable of discourse. Just like the 3 previous threads of the same title. I’ve just told you the future.
Don't forget the endless number of Edwards threads. Losses are gonna happen. Sure I'm upset at our "model" but it's just not worth getting all unhinged. And you're right. He isn't getting fired so those threads are rather pointless. I do think, however, that are are more than a few coaches out there that can do better with the talent we usually have at our disposal.
