The offensive coordinators that I personally think would kick some Big Ten West asses at Nebraska are Mike Thiessen from Air Force, Brent Davis from Army, Warren Ruggiero from Wake Forest, Tom Manning from Iowa State, and Jeff Grimes from Baylor.

All of the coaches I named in the previous paragraph run concepts in the running game that fit the Nebraska roster as it sits now, run blocking schemes that work, all are highly experienced coordinators, and they all produce winning offenses.

Some names that I like when doing more research tonight:

Brian Lindgren - Oregon State. Makes $500k a year. Uses a mobile QB as part of the run game. Spread formations. Will go under center. Lot's of motion plays. Uses the TE. Option plays.

Mike Thiessen - Air Force. While he runs options plays and a run-heavy offense, he does have pro-style passing schemes in his offense. There is a lot of I-formation used in his offense.

Mike Bloesch - North Texas. He has been their playcaller the last two seasons and averaged over 200 yards a game rushing last season and this season.

Zak Hill - Arizona State.

I think Mike Thiessen is the best fit for Nebraska. I really like what he does with the Air Force offense and it helps that he has pro-style passing concepts. From a dollar's perspective, he is an easy get.

I know a guy who led offenses that rushed for: 273, 235 and 280 ypg in consecutive seasons in a P5 conference.

Does anyone actually think Nebraska won't be running a spread option offense next season?
