Based on Norleander's latest tweet, it sounds like the SEC is going to fight this tooth an nail, looks like they really don’t want UK to have Mitchell as part of this team and I just don't understand why.

WTF? Me either. I love being a founding member of the SEC and love the conference and all but stuff like this makes me wish we were in a different one. I know that will never happen but no way would the SEC do this to Bama in FB. No way. You would think we would get some leeway for putting this conference on our shoulders for the last 100 years or whatever in BB. Let them fight it, they will lose. Hopefully this cost sankey his job.

Also, considering how the conference makes a ton of money when UK is good…. I just don’t understand this at all. Something has be going on behind the scenes that us simpletons aren’t aware of.

Mitchell is having to fight like hell to play because he transferred to late but everything I hear about Aden Holloway is he'll be playing this year after getting caught with over 2 pounds of weed but he'll probably have less hoops to jump through than Mitchell does to play.

The NCAA is fine with people involved in murders(Bama) playing but if you miss a date that didn’t even affect you at the time, they pitch a fit. It’s beyond time UK makes a statement to the SEC and say we aren’t rolling over anymore. Fight everything like everyone else fights them and the NCAA. They will fold like a cheap wallet.

The SEC can have additional rules beyond NCAA rules. Same reason a school like BYU can have additional rules beyond Big 12 rules and NCAA rules.

Just wait, the SEC will get lawsuits out the wazoo too. LSU, UK will sue. I heard Missouri as well. It’s far from over but they could all end this silliness and just except this class and move on with the rules next year but nooooooo.
