I am a now former Rutgers fan after our incompetent administration announced they were bringing Chris Ash back. I visited last year for the RU @ NU game and LOVED it and have followed NU from afar since. I am officially switching my allegiance over to NU. So catch me up to speed if you will. I personally think NU can win the West next year but what are some things a fan from afar wouldnt know? What positions lack depth? Hows recruiting? What are the needs in recruiting? What position groups have the brightest/bleakest futures. I think Martinez is a star in the making and I love Scott Frost. Look forward to hopping on the Forst train.

Oline and dline improvement needed. Ozigbo and Morgan will be missed.

Recruiting IMO right now would be c+/b-. Closing strong would make it an A.

Looks like we've found our kuvjer and punter..

Another year of strength and conditioning and accountability will make a huge difference. Spent 9/10 months trying to change the culture and purge poison.

Welcome aboard the Big Red.

Thanks for the insight. Going to join the premium board today to get a better all around feel for what I should know as well

I am probably a little harder on our recruiting than most. We have a lot of talent coming in but key pieces to the puzzle are missing right now. Surprises always happen in recruiting.

Strength..,.the coaches. I trust them. They are young and learning.

Probably not a bad idea for a Husker Virgin. YoullY get more recruiting details faster than on the free board. Tunnel talk us worth it. Most news on there gets to the free board "eventually". Again welcome and enjoy the ride

Leaving the “JV Board” in less than an hour...not satisfied with the insight we can offer...already slapping the fans on this message board in the face by going to the “premium” board?!!! Winking

I have to say that I was treated very well by the Rutgers fans when I attended the game in '15. Very nice people and while the stadium was small, it was nice.

Welcome aboard!

I’ve liked everybody I’ve ever met from New Jersey. And I have a few relatives in Brick. But if you were truly a Rutgers fan, I would suggest not giving up on them completely.

It’s hard to explain being a Rutgers fan unless you’ve experienced it. Our AD and coach have the same agent and our AD only interviewed coaches who shared the same agent as him. Our president essentially hates athletics, our head coach has admitted he doesnt know anything about offense so he hands the keys over to thr OC every year (3 in 3 years under Ash) and just lets them do whatever they want. On top of this Ash can’t recruit people to safety from a burning building, he’s a horrendous recruiter. Add it all up and I’m done

Full disclosure, I’m also a KU alum and football fan. Everything you have described I have been through with the BGL-Zenger-Beaty-Bowen fraud. So I know the pain very well.RollingLaugh

What was the deal on parking? I like their board, very active and mostly good/funny posters over there, but they are constantly talking about parking in different colored lots. If you can't park in one of those lots, is there no where else to park and walk a few blocks?

I parked at a nearby church parking lot, I think it was 15-20 bucks. It was less than a 15 min walk from the stadium. There were also lots of side streets and residential areas selling parking as well.

I'm definitely looking forward to going back there in 2020. Their team walk into the stadium (pregame) is pretty cool. You are literally within feet of their team. I saw the Husker bus arrive, hoping to see them depart, but it drove into a "secret" entrance and that was that!

Here is some info about their gameday parking.

Why is our fanbase so obsessed with Iowa?? Is it because they beat us all the time?

Was every other post about Iowa, years ago, when we won 3 of 4? I don’t get the obsession.

Thanks. I want to go in 2020 as well. The bus from New Brunswick looks interesting. Was going to go last time, but had elder care just then.
