New kicker

This new guys' stats suck, long of 38 yards. Made all but one of his extra points but so does everybody. Just because you have 5 or 6 kickers doesn't mean you can consistently kick field goals of 40 + which is what we need, also put it in the endzone on kickoffs. We better hope Pickering is healthy. Hopefully, Snyder can fix the rest

I would take his stats with a grain of salt. He only attempted 7 field goals, so the fact that his long was 39 yards could just be due to small sample size. Most high school teams just don't attempt very many long field goals. He's only a walk-on, so if he doesn't work out; no harm done.

Some of the high schools have gone the way of advanced analytics too and they go for 4th downs at a very high rate. We had a good kicker on my very good high school team back in the day and I don't remember that we EVER tried a field goal. If you got inside their 45 you went for it.

There's a story up on the home page. This new walk on had a touchback rate of 75% and also punts. Sounds like he has a good leg.
