The creator of the flag (grand-daughter of JCS) has now re-named it the "Hospitality Flag" due to the controversial history of John C. Stennis. Stay tuned, the irony gets thicker every day, and it's only Wednesday.Yeah, I wasn't counting the large central star. I had no idea what the "Stennis flag" looked like until I googled a few days ago. Could have sworn it said Miss. was the 19th state, but I just reread the same article and you are correct.
I would love for the lighthouse to be on the flag. Talk about symbolic.Replace Palmetto with Magnolia. Replace crescent moon with Biloxi lighthouse. Done.
