Looks like Phil Snow is being hired on as AHC
If that’s true it means that Rhule knows how big this year three is, having two new coordinators on his staff is a big adjustment and (hopefully) should have a new ST coordinator as well

So as the AHC does Snow get to tell Butler what to do?

As long as he can recruit. Time will tell. This hire i have no idea about. Disappointed in the Butler promotion

I played d line once upon a time, and I would leave too
Im not going to judge the Dline coach yet. He has about the same experience Pot Roast had. Hopefully he can recruit better than Pot Roast. Butler on the other hand.

We needed a DC/dl coach who'd bring players with them with this being the portal era win now era. Haves and have nots.

If NU wasn't already in the modern have not bracket before, they're certainly going to be now. Yay.

meh. zero teams have the 'portal era' figured out. If you were hoping for another Indiana situation, good luck. not happening anywhere else anytime soon on that level. Someones gonna try, and they are gonna fail.

Last I checked fans are allowed to criticize coaching hires on a football chat board. And these are highly criticizable hires. Especially Butler.
Don't argue with idiots.

The good thing is, we can look forward to "interim head coach Dana Holgorsen" next year!

Zero college experience
Knighton's only college coaching experience was at Wagner before joining Rhule in Carolina... not exactly a huge difference there and we were pretty happy with Knighton.

I think it is safe to say that 99.9%, or more, of people on the board never heard of this guy and therefore have no idea what to expect. Obviously he's not a flashy hire and won't be leaving a college program and trying to bring guys with him. But the dude is young, I would guess they think he will be a good recruiter, and has spent a lot of time coaching some great defensive linemen.

Not flashy, but I'd rather be optimistic and hope if he is a good one he sticks around for a while.

I'm fine with the DL coach. DC hire was a straight dud. And now we are left to wonder if he is dumb enough to retain Foley. Of course we all know he is.

A guy who can say he coaches one of the best DL in the NFL (Chris Jones) is at least one good selling point.

Everyone is already automatically putting this hire down as he was an assistant DL coach, well so was Pot Roast for Carolina and look how he turned out as full blown DL coach both years here. The Chiefs have won how many Super Bowls now which the new guy was a part of all? People need to give him a chance instead of crying because their BS narratives weren't met on who they wanted. Deal with it, or go find another team to root for!

Don’t get me wrong I’m not excited about butler being the new dc but I hope he makes me eat my words and has a top 10-20 defense

This hire plus Mozee might be enough to get Nawaneri and other big names here with Bradden
