Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what is the connection between that song and the baseball team?

It's a tradition to play that song in the middle of the 8th inning. It's baseball's "Don't Stop Believing"

TD Ameritrade played it in Omaha while they showed an MSU highlight video on the big board between innings. I guess each school got to pick the song, but it was pretty damn cool to hear 20,000 singing it away from home.

I like how, during the regionals and the supers, we still played it, but we announced it as "today's fan-selected song" before playing it since everything is supposed to be "neutral" during those tournaments.

I have ordered a couple of thing from you, but your best work was the original dude that was slapped down. I took you up on that logo and ordered a flag and a bunch of koozies. The koozies are in back order for a few months, I will send you a few Griswold and sprinkle the rest around to the SPS poster base.

I really like the flag. Moving in a few weeks and will out it out front of the new house when we get there. Thanks Clark.

IMHO, that wonderful ballad also perfectly captures the mentality of the university and fanbase. That mentality is why I chose Starkville as my home for 4 (okay 5) years.

Which other board would that be? If it's Jean's, well, they're too old to get the reference. If it's ED, well, your first mistake was posting it to ED.

I'm sure this is Germans, but do you think they thought it through that a bunch of middle-aged men would be posting to a site referred to as 'ED'?

I may peruse a thread or two that contains good information but there are TOO many big dog to bow down, serve, and not offend for me to sign up and post, I don't know how some of y'all can post there and walk that tightrope.

I went and perused their thread. It's telling they are computer msu fans. They haven't the faintest clue what Clark is referencing. Hell they are taking offense to "Low Places" thinking it's an insult. Clearly have never been to a home game and know what we play in the 8th inning.

Since the leader of that board has an enlarged ****, I don’t think ED is something they worry about.
