WOW: Ron DeSantis says Obama and Eric Holder’s cross-country gerrymandering SCHEME was so bad they even tried to RIG Florida’s map—and he had to VETO it.

The governor says the operation wasn’t just in blue states....it was a coordinated takeover of election maps nationwide, including Florida.

“Obama and Holder gerrymandered BRUTALLY across the country in this decade’s census.”

“They actually even got into Florida and I had to veto the legislature’s map and I ended up proposing one which was a much fairer map and much better.”

“California is gerrymandered. They have a commission but that’s a ruse. They have Democrats on the commission, liberal independents and liberal Republicans.”

“So their map now is gerrymandered and Gavin wants to do it even more.”

Let me ask you this.... If Trump said he wanted to run for another term, would you vote for him?

You do realize that it is unconstitutional, but you would be ok since you feel that he would be "Saving the Country"

Nope I think that was covered after FDR

Unlike Democrats and the liberal mob I believe in following the laws

This might be one of the dumbest series of Tweets I have ever seen posted. Congrats.
There are two frequent back-and-forths that I find incredibly tedious. The first is when those on the right accuse the democrats of being the party of slavery. The second is when those on the left get worked up about the invocation of the republic v democracy thing.

The irony of the latter though is that, if anything, those on the right are actually moving the needle toward a more small-d democratic model.

To be fair, I don't get worked up about it, I just find the knee-jerk reaction from magas to immediately correct anyone who says democracy hilarious, hence why I mock them since we're actually both. ;-)

You poor dumb, deluded sap (aka Trump Cultist). I hate to interrupt your MAGA conspiracy wet dream with some inconvenient FACTS, but I consider it my duty to educate you even as I am mocking you. Read on and learn.

1. Florida's current congressional delegation in the 119th Congress consists of its two senators, both of whom are Republicans, and its 28 representatives: 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats. Wow, TG, that's some serious gerrymandering Obama and Holder pulled off in Florida. No U.S. senators and only 8 of 28 House members. One might even call that kind of gerrymandering "BRUTAL." Well done.

2. California voters authorized the creation of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission when they passed the Voters First Act in 2008. It authorized the Commission to draw the new district lines. In 2010, the Congressional Voters First Act added the responsibility of drawing Congressional districts to the Commission. The 14-member Commission is made up of five Republicans, five Democrats, and 4 not affiliated with either of those two parties. Oh, wait. The State of California obviously has it all wrong, because you said that the Commission is composed exclusively of "Democrats, liberal independents, and liberal Republicans." Thank God we have you to set everyone straight on these and other issues.

how could you have gotten this so wrong? I live in Florida we should have 28 Republican representatives. Having 8 democrats represents a terrible job of gerrymandering. Oh well, back to the drawing board. TIC

The slip into fascism accelerates behind the cheers of MAGA dipshits
why is everything in your world fascism. If what Trump wants to do is illegal or unconstitutional, someone will sue. Based on current situations, a lower court will hold against trump, trump will appeal to the supreme court if necessary and the court will rule. If they rule for Trump, it's neither illegal or unconstitutional. That's our system.

if the supreme court says trump can run again, how would it be unconstitutional?

Yes. It's very plainly against the Constitution.

I have faith that the Supreme court would never do that. It would completely undermine any confidence in the court and their impartiality. Frankly, that would be a scary moment for our country as that would invite a authoritarian takeover

well then based on your belief, your question is kind of moot, no?

But Trump should not run for a 3rd term, for one thing he's too old and 2, he would not win (assuming the Dems run someone more to the center)

How Trump can run in 2028 , win and it be constitutional.

Scenario:
Senate becomes 60+ pub in 2026
Trump resigns at the end of 2026
POTUS JD Vance makes Trump VP via Senate confirmation
Trump runs in 2028 with Vance as VP.
Since he only had a half term he is eligible for the 10 year alternate rule under the amendment. I think the intent was to allow a VP who took over mid term the chance to run for re-election as POTUS.

Note: JD Vance would also qualify under the 10 year exception and we could theoretically have 20 straight years of a GOP POTUS.

Then imagine Rubio for 8 more. 28 years of SCOTUS appointments, vetos of lib nonsense and neutering most of the administrative state.

I would not object if it happened. I would be, if still alive, 84.

Then maybe Vance wins in 2028. He and Rubio do the switcheroo in 2034 and they each get 10 years.

But two things:
Imagine leftist heads exploding.
30 years of returning the country to original intent. Individual liberty without licentiousness, respect for life, and maybe a return to the concept of individual private property being sacrosanct in its ownership and use. Pursuit of happiness naturally follows those.

This would be akin to extending the life of a patient with metastatic Stage 4 cancer for another 26 years. There would be no sign of the patient left in the end.

I don't think it would take the full 26 years for the left to end.

In 3 1/2 more years he will be more aged and knowing what I know I don’t think he will be in the best of health.

That said I may be mistaken but i think there is an amendment relating to FDR that restricts the President to 2 elected terms .

Don’t feel like doing research on this

Do all you rabid TDS dudes start screaming and ranting about why Trump can’t run again

I really don’t care if he does as the Christian Conservative MAGA ideology is washing over America. The words and works of Charley Kirk are sweeping America. There is still some left wing liberal wing nuts , but there oxygen is drying up.

America is on the way to Salvation and the Golden Age followed by the Diamond Age

LOVE TRUMP LEADING THE CHARGE

KEEP DOING IT AND MORE

You keep quoting those FAKE POLLS

I ask myself every day how did Trump win ifhe is so unpopular.

Oops folks the reason he won is he is HIGHLY POPULAR TO THE SILENT MAJORITY

Keep trusting those polls that purposely skew the questions to get numbers they want to have a negative narrative.

Trump running today would curb stomp anything the Democrats can put against him

At the moment Vance will probably be the 2028 nominee and he is going to curb stomp the Dems

All Christian Conservative MAGA ideology governance until 2036 if not for another 10 years after that.

I will be dead and GONE GRASSHOPPER , but you will be living the Golden Dream in spite of your fighting it.

LOL, Nate Silver compiles all polls including Trump friendly ones and the verdict is clear - America hates Trump

And Vance sucks *** and has NEVER been popular but oddly you magas aren't aware of that in your little red bubbles.

Shapiro would wipe the floor if he went against JD, so keep dreaming.

sure, America hates the world's most dominant political figure of the last decade who just won a landslide election.

I do wonder why Shapiro didn't run with cackles. Any idea?
