I am cheering on Trump saving our republic. To heck with your democracy.

Let me ask you this.... If Trump said he wanted to run for another term, would you vote for him?

You do realize that it is unconstitutional, but you would be ok since you feel that he would be "Saving the Country"

So you refuse to answer a direct question?

It's applicable since what he is trying to do is circumvent standard practice to give himself power.
Yoshi exhibiting perfect lib logic stating that it's not standard practice to only count US citizens in the US census. Maestro Trump bringing back logic and sanity. Thank goodness.

for me, if he runs someone will sue and the supreme court would decide constitutionality. But based on what we know today, he can't run. And IMO he wouldn't win again anyway

who is Trump running against in your scenario? Democrats should have won in 2016 and 2024, but voters didn't see either dem candidate as better than Trump. I'm not sure they voted for Trump as much as against Hillary and Harris.

While I've certainly not done any research here, I'm dubious about whether a non-decennial census could be used to do a reapportionment. It might, however, be used by individual states to support off-cycle redistricting initiatives. (Cue Simpsons clip: ). But even there, if the idea is that a new count would somehow eliminate aliens who are presumably (?) concentrated in urban areas, allowing a state to shift districts to relatively more suburban geographies, I wonder if that juice is worth the squeeze, notwithstanding how good modern redistricting software is.

I suspect the bigger theoretical use in play here is to reallocate funds among "high-illegal" states. But i wonder just how Texas would feel about that...

Nothing in the constitution about the census being done more often than every 10 years.

It does seem to demand that โ€œwhole personsโ€ be counted. Not counting illegals would be tough.

But how many illegals want to fill out a census and give ICE their location?

This would undoubtedly lead to less illegals being counted imo.

Agreed, though article I does seem to suggest apportionment is a decennial process, to my point.

Has nothing to do with MAGA..we are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC...

libs. dems ABC news ect love to say the phrase.. 'a threat to our democracy' as a means to brainwash the masses..but we are NOT a democracy..

The reason they tell us we are a democracy is because that would allow for 'mob rule' ect..which they would LOVE to see. The major cities would vote and carry the presidency..it would allow for UNLIMITED CENSORSHIP.. .....bring in potential gun bans.. ect. ... TRUE TYRANNY...A liberal utopia..

Then.. rural voices ..small states ect would never be represented.

Example..the Electoral College..the Bill of Rights..we are NOT a democracy ...we are a constitutional republic..it is not subjective..it is not open for debate..it is factually objective

Censuses have been conducted for centuries, all with the intent of assessing taxable populations. Illegals do not pay taxes, they cannot as they cannot be added to a payroll without SS and ID. Thereโ€™s absolutely no incentive for an illegal to WANT to be counted however thereโ€™s a lot of benefit to the Democratic Party to have them counted. Itโ€™s more of the same from the left, subvert what the majority want so they can appease their fringe members and attempt to wrestle power from the rightful electorate.

1. We are a constitutional republic
2. We are a representative democracy.
3. We are a democracy.

ALL 3 ARE TRUE

We may not be a direct democracy but we are a democracy.

The reason magas are so hell-bent on promoting this idea that has been intentionally planted, is because they want to lean on minority rule and they want Trump to be able to do whatever the hell he wants.

Can you give me proof of what this well-known liar bot is saying?

Some of this is the result of what red state governors did to own the libs so you're damn right we should count those people.

Again...not just MAGAS...but conservatives and moderates and many more..BEFORE and after
MAGA....want the assurance and PROTECTION of individual rights and liberties...without the threat of potentially losing them to tyrannical governments...

Example...The right to bear arms against a TYRANNICAL government...we know tyranny has happened almost EVERYWHERE before..including here...pre AM. REV.. and we KNOW it will likely happen here again at some point...lets not naively think it never could..it llikely will

So...the CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC part here is key..the BILL OF RIGHTS are so essential...and does not need to be overlooked...REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY is also important...but the news only says this or that is a 'threat to our democracy'....which leaves the door open to 'mob rule' and TYRANNY

This sounds like the perfect argument to use against those who correctly say that Trump is destroying our democracy, because he is. His supporters have all latched on to the idea of the US not being a democracy, even though many of them don't even understand why they're saying it. It's because they've been manipulated. Watch the video for examples.

WATCH: These Trump supporters say America isn't a democracy. And they're okay with it

You dont know that...you cant believe everything you see on tv...for all we know cnn hired them
Yes, because it's well-known that CNN routinely hires actors to be pretend Trump supporters LOL. Just because you don't like hearing what CNN reports, doesn't mean their reporting is made up.

I've never said a word on this board about what I believe about religion or the bible and that's been intentional. But it's an insane leap to believe CNN routinely hires actors to be pretend Trump supporters, when you know that would have been leaked by now. We're not talking about an outlet like FoxNews who gets sued for a billion dollars for blatant, proven lying.

So you think cnn has been completely unbias and 100% accurate EVERY SINGLE TIME OUT? Since Turner started it 40 50 years ago? That is INCREDIBLE FAITH fella

Wild leap dude, we're talking about this one video. Yes, CNN is biased on what they choose to report but that doesn't mean they'
re lying just because they don't report on things you'd prefer to hear. And in case you aren't aware, CNN was bought by a conservative who has gone to great lengths to provide more neutral reporting and almost every show has one or more conservative voices to provide balance. Hell, Scott Jennings has become famous because of his appearances on the 10 o'clock hour. No news outlet is 100% accurate every time but CNN has far more journalistic integrity than FoxNews.

They are absolutely BIAS..and with that understanding..what better way to shift..and sway the national narrative...than to 'HIGHLIGHT' the worst constituents of your opponent...

It happens on BOTH sides..that i agree..but it definately happens...often...which us why..getting back to your video...it does not hold merit...cnn interviewing some 'supposed Trumpsters'

I could partly buy your argument that they may be highlighting the worst, but LOL at calling them "supposed Trumpsters"

I'm not wasting anymore time on this diversion from the subject so have a good one.

I doubt an off cycle census is allowed for reapportionment, but not counting illegals is so freaking obvious that I donโ€™t understand how there is disagreement.

This is as obvious as not giving illegals free ****, not letting boys play girls sports or a government funded nutrition program not paying for sugary, chemical filled sodas. Just really really basic common sense stuff.
