Had to move UK up to a 3. How else would they justify putting Duke at 4?

I think we have to win out to get that 3. I don't see a 2 as a possibility any longer. 3 is fine with me though.
2 may have been lost at TAMU, and if it wasn't it was lost at Vandy.

That's OK though, at this point a 3 would be divine, and I would be OK with a 4. I am just hoping we get at least a 4 at this point.

That is a brutal bracket for UK. I watched California last night and that team is putting it together. Throw in Michigan State and playing them in Chicago and wow, what a tough side of the bracket that is.

That's one of the harder brackets, for us, I've seen so far. So I'd expect us to end up in something similar to that. A bracket of UK, Mich St, Duke, and KU along with solid teams in Cali and Tex would make for some exciting yet nerve wrecking games to the FF.

So the 1-4 seeds in one region will be the same four teams from the Champions' Tournament? I don't see that happening. They're going to want name teams in every region. They'll spread us out.

Joey brackets is pretty bad at the matchups and I really don't think he's great at seeding either. He makes his money on who's in and who's out so I pay little attention to his "matchups."

Mich St., UK and Kansas in the same bracket is brutal. I would rather be a 5 in the South with UVA and Xavier.

Lunardi is great on who's getting into the tourney, not so much with the brackets. I totally ignore anything he has to say on that subject.

The ironic fact about losing to Vanderbilt is that their victory over us boosted them into the top fifty thus making our January win over them a quality win.

I would take a three seed. Our brutal SOS is helping out significantly. Also officially uk has seven quality wins against two bad losses. As the committee defines a quality win as a victory over a RPI top 50 opponent and a bad loss as a loss to a sub 100 opponent.

lol no one is good at predicting the actual brackets

Predicting the actual brackets is damn near impossible. You'd have to get the entire seed list from 1 to 68 correct and even if u did, you'd still run into circumstances where you couldn't predict it completely.

Like if you said UK was the top 4 seed (ie 13th) and they ended up 14th, that would potentially change the entire bracket.

That's why it's impossible.

The bracket challenge usually scores on three things
1) How many you predict get in (which usually everyone can get 65 or more correct)
2) How many teams you predicted the correct seed
3) Then they give points if your within 1 seed either way.

That's a good bracket for Indiana. They could make the Elite Eight.

Would rather avoid Michigan State.

I've never seen such balance (top 20 before).
Everyone of those current 1 seeds could lose their next 3 and go in as a 4 seed.
And any 4 seed, maybe 5 seed, could run the table and maybe make it to a 2 seed (definitely a 3 seed).

Just yesterday I thought losing Sat ended our chance at a 2. But now I'm not so sure. Everyone else keeps losing too. At this point, I'm confident we'll be between a 2 & 5 (inclusive).

Now wait a cotton pickin' minute! Over the weekend there were several posters who said all hope for a 3 was lost, that we need to win out to get a 4, and any loss meant a 5. So Lunardi can't be right....Or maybe people sometimes just have tunnel vision about their own team, and aren't paying attention to the rest of the country? maybe that's it.

Have to point out, in those years when we've been "down", meaning not a top seed, Lunardi tends to overstate our seed. In 2011 we ended by kicking Florida in the SECT Final, and he thought we'd get a 3. We got a 4. In 2014, he thought we'd get a 6, and we got an 8. To be fair, I think just about everyone had us seeded higher in those 2 years - except the selection committee....

cal/msu or uconn/duke or kansas just to get to the ff. lol that is a ff. duke only gets that treatment if they prove they absolutely cannot win it. otherwise no way, they will play gonzaga/baylor/villanova to get to their easy ff. imo that is brutal brutal bracket. izzo, self, calipari, coach k, in one bracket. f no.

Not gonna lie I wouldn't hate a 7 or 8 seed if KU is the one. Beat them take over their path to the final 4. Let's face it the difference between a 2 thru 10 seed is very small this year

What difference does it really make? You know UK will get a hellish bracket. I don't care. If the team is healthy and the officiating is even close to level...we have as good a chance as anybody. Go Cats!

One thing you can count on is that the Cats will be in the toughest bracket of the tournament. Death, taxes and UK playing in a brutal bracket in the NCAA tournament.

I have done very well over the 25 years I have been doing it. I started tracking it on spread sheet in 2003. Last year I scored 351 pts (more than all 136 people at the bracket matrix) which includes Joey and Palm. I had only 66 of the 68 teams correct (tying my worst year ever for getting teams right I usually miss exactly 1) but I got my highest ever seeded teams right with 45 of the 66 teams I had in correctly seeded. 63 of the 66 teams within 1 seed. Now every year I won't do this well the 2 years before this I was in the 30th - 35th place range but I did get all 68 teams correct in 2013 at least I did that once.

You should set up a web page and submit the bracket to the challenge thing.

I should as well. Been doing them since 2010. I've done pretty good. Not so great when I started out but past few years had I submitted my bracket I'd be Top 20

Don't kid yourself. Duke will get Xavier. We all know they will be given, yet again, the easiest road.
