He's definately one of the top five players in the state of Mississippi- most people would say he's one of the top three. He will be a dual position guy for us- I'm thinking that he will play RF and be a closer for us. I think that he will hit for power and average, and he will steal a few bases. Obviously, he has a great arm. He needs to work on his defense a little bit.
As a pitcher, he struck out 100 guys in only 49 innings. If you're not Troy McClure, that's over two an inning. That said, he does need to work on his control, I believe he had 24 walks in those 49 innings.
My biggest question about him is his competition. He plays at Wheeler, which is a 1A school. That said, he had a really good summer at the Sun Belt Tournament.
Another very good pick up for us that fills a couple of needs.
