Beat an Arkansas team in the Top 40 on the road and it drops, beat a USC team at home ranked in the 60’s and it goes up. Go figure.

Arkansas is #48
Alabama is #44

Anyway, just keep winning.

Us moving up had less to do with us as it did others: the three teams we jumped all lost home games to teams outside the top 50.

That still doesn’t explain dropping after beating Arkansas. All I can figure is there just happened to be several big wins by teams around us. That’s the first time I can ever remember us dropping in the NET or the RPI after a top 50 road win.
