In Nepal, at least 95 were dead, according to authorities, and 403 people, included 47 U.S. citizens, were among the missing, Nepalese authorities said. In China, where the flood caused “severe casualties,” state media reported, at least three were reported dead and 265 missing.

The floods were triggered by an avalanche that caused the Bhotekoshi River to overflow, according to a preliminary analysis from the Nepalese national disaster agency. Waves of water and mud swept buildings and people away.
The waterway originates in the Tibetan Plateau in China and crosses into Nepal. Nepalese authorities have appealed to the Indian and Chinese governments for assistance, spokesman Sasmit Pokharel said.
Beijing was deploying more than 500 rescuers to the Chinese side of the disaster, state media said Wednesday. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged “all possible humanitarian assistance” to Nepal.
The Himalayan waterway originates as the Poiqu River in China’s Tibetan Plateau and becomes the Bhotekoshi when it crosses the border into Nepal.
Many of the tourists caught in the floods were Hindu pilgrims from India embarking on the Kailash Manasarovar, authorities said, a religious pilgrimage from India into China that has in recent years served as a bellwether for India-China relations.

Regarding original video, looks like straight out of an over the top disaster or marvel movie scene. Almost not believable as real life.
There's so many videos out there and none of them look real. It's absolutely mind blowing. What a catastrophe.
Edit: If you see a video of some folks standing in mud next to the river, don't watch it. They pull half of a body out of the mud. The person's body was torn apart at the waist. It just came across my feed. Fucan yikes.
