When last extension was offered - it was May 2023, and that was a 3-year extension. That meant that it was set to expire in 2025, and that extended him through 2028.

IMO that is the sweet spot, 5 to 6 years out when extended. I don't like the idea of long term meaning more than that. Not for Collins, not for any coach.
