My brother broke into a house and raped a 15 year old girl . No big deal there...but unfortunately he tied and bound her parents and forced them to watch. ...maybe crossed the line there...but we all make mistakes..

Anyway, our government is trying to send him to prison without giving a second thought that they’ll be separating him from his wife and more importantly his children. F’d up...right?

Any chance of getting your support via a petition or something?

There’s absolutely nothing worse than separating a parent from a child...on that we can all agree.

Over the top...maybe.

Still...plenty of legal residents of the USA get separated from their children each and every day for committing crimes. I’d guess it blows away the number of illegal invaders that suffer the same fate...

...yet you don’t seem to care.

Because their children are placed with relatives in a loving home with family members and are comforted. Unlike making a difficult and distant journey evading an inhumane situation, already potentially suffering from some form of mental trauma only to be denied any emotional comfort from other human beings.

Yep...loving home.

You’re so delusional.

Not always.....and whose fault is it that they don't have relatives in our country? Besides, the separations are temporary...and what do you suggest? Put the children in jail with their parents? Also, most of the children are sent over with strangers.

One more thing....If they would come to a legal entry point, they could gain asylum legally. Why sneak in if the asylum is justified?

Why choose to break the law?

Kind of makes you wonder. At least it does me.

I think anytime people want to generalize something as serious as what environment a child is raised in, the fvcking point gets lost. Some children need to be separated from their parents, some dont. Politicizing the health of families is one of the worst parts of discourse on this country.

And your kids remained with family members, not in cages and not in a concentration camp.

Thanks for playing. Johnny has a parting gift for you.

Stupid post. Seeking asylum in the U.S. is not a crime.

No he didn't. Stop watching faux news. You believe any stupid **** you see and hear which sounds like something you want to believe.

There is no federal law that stipulates that children and parents be separated at the border, no matter how families entered the United States. An increase in child detainees separated from parents stemmed directly from a change in enforcement policy repeatedly announced by Sessions in April and May 2018, under which adults (with or without children) are criminally prosecuted for attempting to enter the United States.

deflect all you want......we have a sucky immigration policy and the president is trying to fix it

We have sucky immigration laws, not policy. The policy is heartless, cruel and inhumane. The policy is a human rights violation. If the POTUS really wanted to fix the laws, he would work with Congress instead of pulling this "stunt."

There is no human right to emigrate to another country. There is no right to be accept by another country. As usual, liberals are liars. We do not need more uneducated people, we have enough already, stealing benefits from the hard working people of the US. We have the right to say who comes into our country.

It's a shame that the U.S. let your immigrant parents into the country.

Grandparents, and on my mother's side settled Jamestown. From 1925-1965 we had almost no immigration. As I've been told, people who were let in back then didn't suck off the governments tit. We use to make people sponsor them and take care of their needs. Now, we pay for everything and we just don't have the money to do it.

It seems they are.
Opening salvo. Give it a week and then see what actually gets passed. The Dems fvcked up by going nuclear on this. This will get him his stupid assed wall because once the GOP starts pushing “solutions” forward, the Dems will be obstructionists for not jumping on this “Humanitarian Crisis” where kids are being sent to “Concentration Camps”. It’s just like Hitler for god’s same!!!!

IDK. Cornyn, Cruz and Cotton seem to be offering up fixes that have nothing to do with that silly wall.

Hahahaha Cruz is to send them back after 2 weeks if they haven’t been adjudicated with their parents. If that’s what ends up passing that’s going to be some funny ****.

Sure. Asylum from what? Political persecution? Yes. Religious persecution? Yes. Racial persecution? Yes.

Do these individuals qualify for those 3?
Overwhelmingly they won't. Keep them together and send them home after asylum isn't granted.

I think he said 2 weeks to adjudicate, but reasonable extensions could happen. Sounds like a home run to me.

Sure, I’m just laughing that if that’s what ends up happening the Dems will have lost Bigly!
