There were several times when Sellers did not see wide open receivers who could have scored TD’s, instead he threw terrible balls into coverage and got INT’s. No serious HBC would have kept playing him. Beamer is killing us in year 6 of the nepo baby coaching experiment.

The 10 points MSU score off those two INT’s was the difference in this game. Without those two INT’s we would have likely won this game in spite of our inconsistent play, stupid penalties and lack of a pass defense.

I don't understand all the hype around Sellars. The physical tools are there but the QB position seems to be beyond him. This isn't new.

They had a freak athlete at qb with situational awareness of how to play the position. We had a freak athlete at qb that does not, not by a long shot. I truly wonder if Sellers understands or gives a rip that the object is to win and drawing accolades is secondary.

Btw, way to show confidence in your backup Beams; burn all three timeouts in the first half rather than let him take a snap.

He makes some freakishly good plays but he also commits an equal number of absolute head-scratchers. I think the media looks at the physical tools and highlights, but no analysis beyond that.

Many said the same about Lamar Jackson, too. He was a run-first QB with limited passing acumen (69 passing TD’s vs 50 running TD’s at Louisville). So, I imagine some NFL team will take a chance on Sellers.

The only problem is that as a runner Jackson was willing to get hit and fight for yardage—Sellers shies away from it. Also, Jackson improved on his throwing success in the NFL. Maybe Sellers can improve on his throwing ability; there’s still a lot of football to play.
