Hey guys, I have been to Cameron a few times for a game but I need some information if any of you can provide it. My son would like to come to the Florida State game on December 30th for his Christmas present. I have been looking on the various ticket websites and some of the prices are crazy high. My question to you guys is, do you think it would be possible to just buy 3 tickets down buy Cameron before the game? My only problem is we would be flying in from Illinois so I do not want to fly in and not have any luck. Thanks for any information you guys can give.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at stub hub and other places and they are going for over 450 per ticket. Do you think I would end up paying more right before the game?
Thanks for the response. Like I said I have been to a couple games but I could not remember if people were out in front or near Cameron selling tickets.
Yeah, the $450 number seems quite high for a game on December 30 when the campus will literally be a ghost town. I would think you're going to find more reasonable ticket prices outside Cameron that day because the demand won't be quite as high.
I was thinking the same thing. I know finding 3 tickets together may be the hard part. It may be worth the risk I guess.
I haven't been to Cameron is so long that I can't give any particular advice on what probability you have of scoring tickets. But I do think what you decide to do should take in to consideration your emotional stress level capacity. Like pain levels, everyone responds to stress in different ways. The prices you quoted seem really high, but considering you're flying in from some distance, and are relying on finding cheaper tickets on very short notice...are you (and your family) comfortable with doing that.with the resultant stress involved? If you're comfortable rolling the dice, then I would go for it. Finding one ticket shouldn't be a problem, maybe even 2, but getting all 3 together will be a little tougher.

If you are going to buy tickets off of stub hub. Always wait to buy them on the day of the game (if you are really worried about it, buy them the night before the game). I always buy tickets an 1.5-2 hours before the game starts if I am going through Stub Hub (I haven't had a situation where I couldn't buy tickets because I waited too long). You have to remember, the people selling their tickets on stub hub, don't want to be stuck with their tickets so they are going to lower the ticket prices significantly on the day of the game just to get rid of them.
I'm from Illinois as well and that's what I've done in the last 2 years to buy Cubs, Bulls, and Duke tickets lately if I don't buy them from ticketmaster or at the box office. I also plan on rolling the dice at the Final 4 in San Antonio in April as opposed to buying tickets from the NCAA website (its a scam, paying a lot of money when they only offer the nosebleed sections at the venue).
Not a bad seat in the house so, if your family is ok with it and cant fetch three together to just get some singles.
Also my guess is with students gone, the gen admission tickets will allow you to sit in the crazies section.
What a bummer having an acc home game with no students there.
