After a poor half of basketball while BCG was the coach, we had a poster talk about our poultry offensive production
Maybe this is just grammar, but a LOT of people say "should of" on here VS "should have" (I should of this and he should of that) and "to" instead of "too".
I see people talking about a dominate team or dominate player a lot. Never have figured out if they are joking.
Lose vs loose has to be the all timer. At least once a thread it seems
That's my fave. It's almost poetry. "Fast paste" is funnier, but "hives me chills" could have come from a book.
One of my most irritating errors include "poles" rather than "polls".
To address to original intent posed by the OP, this forum's initial purpose started out as a "chat room", or a discussion board when I first began in the mid-90's.
With the progression of smart phones and social media, it's now a message posting board. Thus, most people respond with quick, brief replies (get impatient with a post more than one paragraph), and forgo simple editing or spell checking efforts.
I'm certainly not an expert on grammar and the English language. But, at my age, I sometimes think our hard-core English teachers from high school would be rolling in their graves with some of the errors found in modern-day texting or posting comments.
From a positive perspective, at least we have a communication outlet to share our beliefs, findings, and opinions with UK fans around the nation-- something that didn't exist when I grew up.

It's a doggy dog world out there.
I don't mean to be the baron of bad news...

Don't you mean you are problem to blame for half of them.
I wonder if anyone can share backstories on when some of these first started? Like "hives me the chills" or "fast paste."
supposably. although technically a word it doesn't actually mean supposedly.
Alot of very intelligent people write and say: "I could care less"....when in reality the proper usage of the phrase is : "I couldn't care less".
Bawahahahahahahahahahahaha, ahahahahahahahahahahaha....bawahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahah...
I say faste paste, premadonnas, and Townes as a running joke. I'm not sure where it originated but whatever poster started those words have definitely put themselves in a position to be rafters HOF'S.
